News - Yemen: The Supreme Political Council discussed the latest developments on the internal and external fronts in a meeting, headed by President Mahdi Al-Mashat on Wednesday.

According to Saba News Agency, the Political Council confirmed that it is engaged in a major battle against the US-Saudi aggression to secure the rights, sovereignty, independence, and internal cohesion of the Yemeni People.

The Council emphasized that everyone's priority should be the homeland and its defense. "Any media coverage outside this framework only serves the enemy's agenda, which aims to divide and disperse the country."

The meeting condemned the presence of American forces in Hadramout and the deployment of US Marines to schools in Seyoun, stressing that every inch of the homeland will be cleansed from the invaders and occupiers.

The United States continues its escalatory steps in the region, which reinforce efforts to obstruct peace in Yemen. In early August, it announced the arrival of additional forces to the Red Sea, which represents a direct threat to the territorial waters, islands and Yemeni governorates, especially in light of the declared American insistence on continuing the aggression and blockade.

The US Fifth Fleet said in a statement that "more than 3,000 Marines and sailors arrived in the Middle East," noting that "amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 50) and dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) entered the Red Sea."

Last Wednesday, President Al-Mashat warned the US Marines and British forces in the occupied provinces not to go too far as "Yemen is a red line."
He addressed these forces saying, "Yemen possesses drones and rocket power, and it has a leader with a light hand on the trigger."

"We rely on Allah at the forefront, on the awareness of these people, and the courage and wisdom of our leadership. These are the elements that will lead our country out of this crisis to safety," he added. He pointed out that the people and loyal tribes are the safety valve against all enemy conspiracies.

The Political Council also condemned the crimes committed by the mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression against citizens in Taiz, the latest of which was circulated on social media regarding the kidnapping and torture of a citizen.

Taiz and other occupied provinces suffer from a state of security chaos and have become a scene of murders, kidnappings and torture of civilians. Violations and crimes are exacerbated in the areas under the control of the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries, with the complicity of the security authorities there, which have reached the point of deliberately targeting civilians with killing and threats.

What is happening in occupied provinces are war crimes and flagrant violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law. However, human rights organizations do not move a finger about these violations.
