"The countries involved in aggression are stubborn and believe that they are exerting popular pressure on us regarding salaries, however, we trust the awareness of our people in Sana'a and consider the appropriate response," bin Habtour said in a statement to Al-Masirah.
"Through what the Leader of the Revolution has stated, we give the countries involved in aggression one last chance," he added.
He explained that Oil and Gas revenues constituted 75 percent of the revenues of previous government budgets, taxes and customs 15 percent, and the remaining comes through grants, loans, etc., accordingly, all revenue sources are in the hands of the occupiers.
"What remains for us in the Salvation Government is the revenue of Hodeidah Port, which constitutes 10 percent of the revenues," he continued. "We pay half a salary every three months from it, and if we were able to pay more, we would not have delayed for a moment."
The Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government concluded by saying: "With the very low revenue situation, the Salvation Government is currently bearing the expenses of 49 fronts that require all aspects of expenditure, such as weapons, ammunition, etc. We are still in a state of war with the aggressor countries."
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf confirmed that there is no room to continue in a state of neither peace nor war, and Sana'a has what makes the enemies regret it.
"We are ready for war as much as we are ready for peace, and the Yemeni people will not tolerate the enemies' conspiracies for long," he added.
The US-Saudi aggression continues evading the entitlements of paying the salaries of all state employees in Yemen from the revenues of Oil and Gas wealth.
Sana’a is pressing to expedite the process of paying salaries in accordance with the agreements between it and the coalition during the peace talks in its various rounds, however, the coalition seeks to delete the salary issue and link it to a comprehensive political settlement, which Sana'a rejects, as it considers salaries to be a non-politicized human entitlement.
According to observers, the coalition's attempts and insistence on dropping the salary item from the humanitarian aspect complicates peace paths in Yemen. Especially since Sana’a confirmed that the implementation of the provisions of the humanitarian aspect, foremost of which is the payment of salaries of state employees, is an important step in building confidence between the two parties, and that any talk of peace without the full implementation of these provisions is useless.
