Abdulsalam Calles for Prompt Assistance to Libyan People
News – World: Mohammed Abdulsalam, the Spokesman of Ansarullah, expressed his deep sympathy with the Libyan people in light of the flood disaster that struck the eastern part of the country, causing thousands of casualties and missing individuals.
"We express our deep sympathy with Libya regarding the flood disaster it has experienced, and we hope that countries and humanitarian organizations will quickly take the initiative to provide the necessary assistance so that the Libyan people can overcome their ordeal," Abdulsalam tweeted on Tuesday.
Thousands of people have been killed in Libya and many more are reported missing after catastrophic flash floods broke river dams. The epicenter of the crisis is Derna, a coastal city in eastern Libya. The floods have torn through the city, devastating entire neighborhoods.
