Abdulsalam: Discussing Humanitarian Issues Essential Task for National Delegation

News - Yemen: The National Delegation, accompanied by the Omani Mediation Delegation, left the capital, Sanaa, Thursday evening, for Riyadh on a private Omani plane, to complete the negotiating rounds.

The head of the National Delegation, Muhammad Abdulsalam, confirmed that the current negotiating round comes within the framework of the discussions that the National Delegation held with the Saudi party in meetings in Muscat and Sanaa.

He explained that the humanitarian issue is the top issue that the National Delegation is working on, including disbursing the salaries of all state employees, opening the airport and ports, and releasing all prisoners and detainees.

He added: "Among the issues we are working on are the exit of foreign forces and the reconstruction of Yemen to reach a comprehensive political solution."

Abdulsalam pointed out that discussions on the humanitarian issues are an essential task for the National Delegation in negotiating with the Saudi side, the aggression countries, and the international community.

Abdulsalam also stressed that the National Delegation is working to obtain the just rights of Yemeni People, and to reach solutions to end the current de-escalation situation that does not represent stability and does not address the humanitarian needs of Yemeni People.

President Mahdi Al-Mashat met Thursday with the Omani delegation visiting Sanaa, accompanied by the National Delegation.

During the meeting, President Al-Mashat renewed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman to end the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen.

According to Saba Agency, President Al-Mashat said: “In response to the mediation of the Sultanate of Oman, the National Delegation will go, accompanied by the Omani delegation, to Riyadh to complete consultations with the Saudi side, which started in Sanaa and Muscat.”

He stressed that "peace was and remains our first choice, which must be worked for by everyone."

Earlier, the member of the National Delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ejri, confirmed on August 20 that an upcoming round of negotiations is being arranged, which Sana'a seeks to be decisive in putting an end to the suffering of the Yemeni People.

Two weeks ago, President Mahdi Al-Mashat confirmed, during his meeting with the delegation that the US-Saudi aggression can not evade the just humanitarian entitlements of the Yemeni People forever. He warned that the continuation of prevarication will bring the countries involved in aggression undesired results.

President Al-Mashat stressed that the countries of aggression must prove their seriousness in peace by submitting practical steps in implementing the demands of the Yemeni People represented by solving the humanitarian issue.
