Yemen: After 9 years of US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and blockade, Yemen surprised the world with a majestic military parade, the largest in its history. It revealed an advanced arsenal of long- and medium-range ballistic and winged missile systems, as well as naval weapons, and high-tech drones.

“We are strong and we can impose Yemen’s presence on the “global” arena, and “Yemen is a pillar of regional and international stability. The siege of the Yemenis and the plundering of their wealth will have repercussions at the level of the region and the world,” Defense Minister Muhammad al-Atfi confirmed in his speech during the military parade on September 21,.

Nasser Qandil, editor-in-chief of Al-Binaa newspaper and a former Lebanese Parliament member, considered that the Yemeni Armed Force has now become a partner in all equations of the region.

Qandil said, “For the first time, we are seeing a real Yemeni army whose decisions come from Yemen,” explaining that the Yemeni army manufactures missiles that enable Yemen to be present in the power equations between the majors.

He added, "The Yemeni Armed Forces have now become “a partner in energy security, a partner in the security of navigational equations, and a partner in the security of the stability of the Gulf, as one of the most powerful military forces in it, and a partner in Arab national security in the issue of Palestine,” pointing out to what the Israelis say about Yemeni power."

He continued: "In all countries of the world, the backbone of state building is the armed forces. Whoever does not build armed forces does not have a project to build a state."

Qandil pointed out that the Yemenis benefited from the de-escalation phase in building their power, and produced more power and accumulated more of it, stressing that this is evidence of determination, will, mental and practical potential.

He also stressed that the military solution and siege failed, "because under the siege these capabilities were built and under the siege these victories were achieved."

In the same regard, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, during his explanation of the specifications of Yemen’s strategic weapons that were revealed for the first time, stressed that these military capabilities are not intended for military parades.

He added that the invaders and occupiers must realize that Yemen’s Armed Forces will not accept their presence in lands, islands, and seas, threatening the enemy to impose military deterrent equations that forces him to submit to all the legitimate and just demands of the Yemeni People. 

In conclusion, if the countries of the US-Saudi aggression coalition do not take the military parade seriously and respond to Sana’a’s demands for a “just peace,” then they will be targeted by Yemen’s striking weapons shown in the parade.
