Reuters has reported that Yemenia Airways will cease its flights between Sana'a and Jordan, beginning on October 1st.
Yemenia Airlines claimed that the suspension was justified by the inability to access its funds in Sana'a, which is an unfounded and unjustifiable excuse. Sources confirmed that the company intended to withdraw $7.3 million from its funds without any justification, even though Sana'a is the one fully paying the salaries of the company's employees. Additionally, Sana'a covers 60% of the operating expenses, while Aden covers 40% according to a previously signed agreement. The underlying motive behind this action appears to be Saudi Arabia's effort to escalate the situation further.
It is worth noting that Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi affirmed, a few days ago, in his speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday that if Omani mediation does not succeed, Yemeni people have the right to use all means to deter aggressors.
