Widespread Public Outrage Following the Emirati Occupation Forces' Raid on Homes in Hadramawt

News - Yemen: Cities and neighborhoods in the Hadramawt Governorate have witnessed a series of raids and intrusions by mercenary forces affiliated with the Emirati occupation, igniting widespread public anger.

Activists on social media circulated a video showing the moment when Emirati-affiliated forces raided the home of Mujahid Al-Haiki, entering his bedroom where he was sitting with his children and wife. They attempted to forcefully apprehend him without even allowing him to put on clothing, showing no respect for the sanctity of children and women in their private residence.

Activists held the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) responsible for what happened in the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramawt Governorate, regarding the intrusion into homes and the violation of their sanctity.

They pointed out that the campaign of home invasions occurred just days after a delegation from the STC visited Mukalla and incited for narrow political goals, emphasizing that terrorizing innocent civilians, especially women and children, will not go unnoticed.

This incident has sparked outrage and anger among Yemenis in general, condemning these unethical and inhumane actions that go beyond the boundaries of religion, tradition, and society.

The southern governorates are currently grappling with severe security chaos and a nearly daily surge in criminal activities. These areas are under the control of the forces of the US-Saudi aggression and the Saudi-Emirati occupation, where a growing number of assassinations are targeting military personnel, security leaders, religious figures, and social figures.

According to an annual report from the Media Center for the Southern Governorates, a total of 1,259 crimes and serious violations were documented in the past year. Among these, 159 were assassinations resulting from conflicts between the militias of the Southern Transitional Council.

The report also revealed 82 home raids in Aden and Shabwa governorates. Kidnappings have seen a sharp increase, with 67 crimes reported in Aden, Abyan, Shabwa, and Lahj, affecting military commanders, civilian leaders, citizens, party officials, workers, women, and children.

Clashes in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Al-Dhalae, Abyan, and Shabwa have risen to 265 crimes due to the prevailing insecurity and the proliferation of militias and armed groups loyal to the coalition countries.

Furthermore, 220 cases of unlawful detention were recorded in Aden, Shabwa, Lahj, Abyan, Hadramout, and Al Dhalae. The report added that 200 violations and forced deportations were committed on racial grounds, affecting 4,500 individuals.

The report also noted 92 extortion cases targeting merchants and investors in the occupied southern governorates.

The report highlighted that armed militias, acting on the directives of the occupying countries, have violently suppressed peaceful protests in the streets of Aden, Ataq, Mukalla, and Wadi Hadramawt districts. They have resorted to the use of force, arrests, chases, and home raids against individuals who reject the occupation.

The report further revealed that the monitoring unit of the Center recorded 380 crimes against peaceful protesters in the occupied southern governorates during September. These included three killings, 280 arrests and unlawful detentions, and 36 neighborhood raids to locate activists opposing the starvation policies implemented by the occupying countries and Hadi's government.

Due to the worsening security chaos, seven systematic bombings aimed at disrupting the peace of citizens in the city of Aden were documented, along with nine home raids by armed militias, as well as incidents of suppression, intimidation, shooting, and the arrest of protesters in several governorates.
