Sana'a Foreign Ministry Condemns Settlers' Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

News - Middle East: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sana'a government strongly condemned the ongoing violations committed by the Israeli occupation against the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Foreign Ministry regarded these actions as a "significant escalation within the context of Zionist efforts to alter the identity, characteristics, and reality of the holy sites in occupied Al-Quds."

Furthermore, it cautioned about the repercussions of these irresponsible violations, which are likely to escalate tensions in the Palestinian territories and pose a direct threat to peace and security in the region.

The ministry held the occupation authorities, under the leadership of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ministers, fully accountable for these events, emphasizing that the increasing violations and provocations by this entity reveal the failure of the Zionist plan to gain favor with certain Arab countries.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni Scholars Association emphasized that the recurring Zionist violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque reflect a stain of shame on regimes associated with Islam and the Arab world.

In a statement, the Yemeni Scholars Association called upon Islamic scholars and governments to take a firm stance in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people, endorsing the option of jihad.

The statement viewed the Saudi regime's swift normalization as a treacherous betrayal of the Palestinian cause and its just struggle.

In the most recent violation,  over 1,000 Jewish settlers on Tuesday stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of Israeli regime forces.

Eyewitnesses reported that the settlers broke into the courtyards of the sacred site through the Moroccans’ Gate, also known as the Mughrabi Gate, and performed Talmudic rituals on the fourth day of the Jewish Sukkot holiday.
