Aden Governor: Yemenis Continue the Path of Revolution against Conspiracies of Occupier

News - Yemen: Governor of Aden, Tariq Salam, has underlined that the Yemeni people's celebration of the October 14 Revolution is a profound reflection of their unwavering commitment to the path of resistance, challenging the schemes and conspiracies of the remnants of the occupiers, who will soon face defeat.

In a statement, he emphasized that the Yemeni people stand united with strength and courage alongside their revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council. Their objective is to safeguard their national achievements and counter repeated attempts to seize Yemeni territories in the occupied southern governorates, preventing any division.

Salam highlighted that the significance of the October celebration lies in its moral inspiration, symbolizing Yemeni unity in the righteous struggle against tyrants and occupiers. It reinforces the people's determination to resist external dominance and tutelage at all times.

He expressed that the bravery of the Yemeni people in confronting the occupier's policies and its malicious tactics is a testament to the unwavering nature of the revolution. Its momentum will only intensify in response to the occupier's escalating violations, exploitation of the humanitarian situation, and the suffering of the citizens for their own gains.

The Governor of Aden pointed out that those who claim to defend the October Revolution today do so under the shadow of insult and humiliation by the new occupier.

Governor Salam called upon those who cherish freedom in the occupied southern and eastern governorates to persist in their struggle, oppose the occupier's schemes and tools, and work towards liberating all occupied Yemeni territories, reclaiming what has been plundered, and safeguarding the rights, national achievements, and wealth of the Yemeni people.

The October 14 Revolution is a revolution launched in 1963 in South Yemen against British colonialism, which ruled the region for more than a century.

The beginnings of Emirati and Saudi intervention in the South in 2015, started with the establishment of military formations and the creation of political and tribal faces loyal to these two countries to achieve their goals, are similar to what the British did when they occupied the city of Aden in 1839.

The present of the UAE and Saudi Arabia today also appears similar to the recent period of British presence in the South, which began to end with protests and strikes, before the factions of the national movement took up arms and forcibly expelled the British occupiers in 1967.

Since Saudi Arabia and the UAE entered the war in Yemen under the leadership of "the coalition" more than nine years ago, they have consistently emulated the British role and sought to replicate the British experience in the South.

In 2015, Saudi and Emirati forces entered the city of Aden from Bir Ali, citing the need to repel the "Houthi-Iranian" intervention and secure international navigation. It didn't take long after the arrival of these forces for the new British-style experiment to take shape.

The Saudi-Emirati ambition in Yemen faced a southern awakening, which began on the island of Socotra when thousands protested against turning the island into a dependency of Abu Dhabi. Then came the uprising of the people of Al-Mahra in July, demanding sovereignty over the province and rejecting foreign control over the city. The protests expanded to reach the city of Aden, where the UAE has deployed over thirty thousand local military personnel loyal to them.

Hundreds took to the streets demanding the departure of the "coalition" forces from the south, a situation that analysts have compared to the protests in the 1960s against British presence, which laid the foundation for armed struggle in the south.
