Abdulsalam Regrets Arab Islamic Summit's Failure to Take Stance Supporting Gaza's Cause

News - Yemen: The official spokesman of Ansarullah, Mohammed Abdulsalam, expressed deep regret over the Arab Islamic Summit's failure to take a supportive stance towards Gaza, even minimally, while some  did not hesitate to form a war and siege alliance against Yemen.

In a post on X on Sunday evening, Abdulsalam stated, "The requirements of belonging to Islam dictate that the nation should act in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran, stand united, and be formidable against the arrogant."

Abdulsalam highlighted Gaza's need for support from its Arab and Muslim brethren, criticizing the indifference and abandonment by many. Warning that Arab abandonment had a greater impact on Gaza than Israeli aggression, he emphasized the need for unified Arab and Islamic action against America to halt its ally Israel's aggression.

"Here, we are in a position of advising and reminding of responsibilities, not pointing fingers at anyone, as the tragedy of Gaza and the Palestinian cause cannot tolerate idle debates," he added.

The spokesman for Ansarullah stressed the importance of Arab and Islamic unity, suggesting that a united front could pressure America to stop Israel's aggression without resorting to war, stating, "There are many pressure cards in the hands of the Arabs and Muslims, the latest being the threat to use force."

The joint summit come as Israel is continuing its deadly bombing campaign in Gaza despite growing calls to end the regime’s atrocities.

After a day of gathering leaders and representatives from around 57 Arab and Islamic countries, whose nations constitute about a third of the United Nations and more than half of the world's wealth, and amidst resonant speeches, the Arab and Muslim leaders took no practical action.

Some had pinned their hopes on the Arab and Islamic organizations, which control their decisions and external agenda, at least expecting them to assemble a food convoy and raise the flags of Arab and Islamic countries as a symbolic break of the blockade, showing minimal support for Palestinians who are currently trapped in Gaza, suffering from the devastating effects of war and siege for about 5 weeks.

There were also expectations of leveraging oil, economic, and diplomatic relations with the occupation and its American and Western allies as a form of pressure. However, those hopes dissipated in the blink of an eye, yielding only the announcement by the Saudi Foreign Minister that his country had obtained a mandate to follow up on the Palestinian issue, which Riyadh is attempting to use as leverage on the normalization table with Israel.

Israel waged the bloody war on Gaza on October 7 after Hamas’s Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity.

Since the start of the aggression, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 11,100 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured about 27,500 others.

It has also imposed a “complete siege” on the coastal sliver, cutting off fuel, electricity, food and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
