In a statement, the ministry explained that Sayyed Abdulmalik's speech highlighted the glaring double standards in addressing the situation in the Gaza Strip. This was especially evident after the failure of the Security Council and the Arab-Islamic Summit to bear the responsibility of protecting civilians from the Zionist enemy's crimes.
The statement pointed out the unprecedented prevalence of double standards in today's world. It highlighted how Washington and its European allies offer extensive military, financial, and logistical support to the Zionist entity under the pretext of self-defense while the entity commits massacres against Palestinian civilians.
The statement reaffirmed that the foreign policy of Yemen remains transparent, straightforward, and distant from any pretense or arrogance concerning the Palestinian issue. It emphasized strong support for the issue from the revolutionary leadership, the government, and the people.
Sana’a rejects any collusion with the Zionist enemy and the major countries supporting it, despite the continued aggression and comprehensive blockade on Yemen and its people for the ninth consecutive year.
The statement urged Arab and Islamic countries that have normalized or were moving towards normalization to take a serious stance. It called for severing relations and communications with the Israeli enemy and responding to the people's demands to activate an economic boycott.
Additionally, the statement called on the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security. It urged an immediate halt to the military aggression against the Gaza Strip and the unconditional facilitation of humanitarian aid entry.
During a speech commemorating Martyr's Day on Tuesday, the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik condemned the Israeli occupation for its relentless attacks on Palestinians, targeting civilian areas and hospitals, resulting in the loss of thousands of innocent lives.
He criticized the Arab nations for their inadequate response to the crisis, pointing out the lack of effective efforts to deliver humanitarian aid amidst a suffocating Israeli and Arab siege.
Commenting on the recent Arab-Islamic summit, he expressed disappointment over its mere verbal statement.
"Arab regimes lack seriousness in their response to what is happening in Gaza and lack the will to take action," he emphasized. "The summit did not take a stance on what is happening in Palestine."
He further questioned, "Are these the capabilities of 57 Arab-Islamic countries with more than one and a half billion Muslims, to issue nothing more than an appeal?"
Sayyed Abdulmalic pointed out that "the Israeli enemy ridiculed the summit's statement," and that "it did not meet the level of some Western and non-Islamic countries’ position that severed their ties with Israel, and their position showed greater solidarity than Arab countries."
Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized the urgent need to break the blockade on Gaza and provide essential humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and fuel. He criticized the Saudi regime's lavish events amid the Gaza tragedy.
