He emphasized that any escalation or truce in Gaza is tantamount to an escalation or truce in the Red Sea. He clarified that any country or party preventing Yemen from supporting Palestine will be met with appropriate confrontation.
Al-Madani called for heightened readiness to confront threats, stating, "We should focus on increasing our readiness to address any potential threats that may arise, as the enemy may seek retaliation after feeling provoked."
He explained that the interception of the Israeli ship Galaxy Leader occurred under very complex circumstances, approximately 120 km away from the Yemeni coast.
He pointed out that the operation took place while the enemy was in a cautious position, with the Americans present in the Red Sea and in proximity to the Galaxy Leader ship.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the specialized force responsible for the operation had undergone extensive two-year training to execute similar missions.
The warnings came amid reports suggesting that the United States and allies may form a regional maritime task force to counter threats to shipping in the Red Sea.
It also came just hours before oil giant BP said in a statement that it had decided to suspend oil transit activity via Red Sea routes because of threats emanating from the Yemeni forces.
The Yemeni army has intensified attacks on ships en route to the Israeli-occupied territories after the illegal entity refused to extend a Qatari-brokered ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and pressed ahead with its genocidal war on the besieged Palestinian territory.
In a recent development on Monday, spokesman of Yemen’s armed forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed attacks on two ships in the Red Sea earlier in the day “in solidarity with the Palestinian people in light of the aggression against Gaza.”
Yemen's Army has conducted several such attacks against Israel-bound ships in recent weeks.
Late on Thursday, Yemen have carried out a military operation against a Maersk container vessel, directly hitting it with a drone.
In November, Yemeni forces seized a vehicle transport ship linked to Israel in the Red Sea off Yemen. They still hold the vessel near the port city of Hodeida.
Some attacks occurred near Bab al-Mandab, the narrow strait between Yemen and northeast Africa through which much of global commerce flows.
Some 40 percent of international trade passes through the area, which leads to the Red Sea.
Western media reports say that insurance costs for ships transiting the area have jumped in recent days, amounting to increases in the tens of thousands of dollars for larger ships like oil tankers.
Major international shipping companies have changed the course of their vessels in the region after the Yemenis said earlier this month that any ship bound for the Israeli-occupied Palestine will be a legitimate target until the Israeli regime completely halts its aggression against Gaza.
More than 19,500 people have been killed in Gaza since the regime launched its attacks on October 7, the day when the Palestinian resistance group Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the Israelis.
