News - Yemen: Ansarullah Political Bureau raised concerns about the US-led coalition supposedly aimed at securing maritime navigation in the Red Sea. It viewed this coalition as more aligned with protecting Israel rather than genuinely ensuring safe navigation.

In a statement released on Tuesday evening, Ansarullah's Political Bureau stated, "The coalition announced by America is an integral part of the aggression against the Palestinian people, Gaza, and the Arab and Islamic nation."

The statement deemed the American coalition aimed at encouraging the Zionist entity to continue its brutal actions against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

It explained that the coalition contradicts international law, posing a threat rather than ensuring maritime navigation, and aims to militarize the Red Sea for the benefit of the Israeli entity.

The statement highlighted the interception of Israeli and ships heading to Israel by Yemeni Armed Forces as a humanitarian and moral duty to break the suffocating blockade imposed on Gaza. It firmly asserted that the Armed Forces' actions do not pose any threat to any country in the world.

The statement criticized the UN, organizations, and entities supposedly advocating for human rights for their failure to relieve the siege on Gaza.

It reaffirmed the Yemeni people's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause until the aggression ceases and the blockade on Gaza lifts. It hoped for regional and global solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, urging support through all possible means and condemning Israeli crimes and American actions threatening the region's security.

In recent remarks, Mohammed Abdulsalam, head of the National Delegation, highlighted that the complete cessation of navigation in these seas is an American and Western bid to support an alliance aimed at protecting Israel. He stressed that daily ship passages through Bab el-Mandeb Strait remain unaffected, with operations only targeting vessels associated with the enemy entity.

The United States aims to include 40 countries in the announced alliance, but only nine have responded, primarily its allies, including Britain, Bahrain, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Seychelles, and Spain.

The Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7.

The relentless Israeli strikes against Gaza have killed at least 19,453 people, most of them women and children, in Gaza. Another 52,286 individuals have been wounded as well.

Reports revealed that Israeli shipping companies have already decided to reroute their vessels in fear of attacks by Yemeni forces.

The Yemeni forces have also launched missile and drone attacks on targets in the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine after the occupying regime’s aggression on Gaza.
