Yemen: Researcher and writer Waseem Bazzi affirmed that Sana'a's adept handling of distinguishing between targeting the Zionist entity and its ships while avoiding disruptions to Western interests and global trade routes through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Red Sea has left the United States perplexed about how to address Yemen's influential presence.

In an interview with Al-Masirah, Bazzi highlighted Yemen's escalating influence, now established as a significant force supporting Gaza and the Palestinian people.

He noted the gradual evolution of the American stance, demonstrating clear hesitancy to engage directly in an exhaustive war with Sana'a.

Bazzi underscored Yemen's impact on the southern front, disrupting the enemy's trade and economy by completely shutting down the Port of Umm Al-Rashrash, while 11 international companies halted their sea trips to the enemy entity.

"This alliance was supposed to include 39 countries, but so far, we've only seen the participation of 10 countries, with no coastal nations providing logistical or operational support," he stated.

He noted that there are originally over 45 major naval vessels within the maritime geography of the confrontation area, expressing doubt that what has transpired might rearrange matters outside of Yemeni action.

In conclusion, he highlighted that Sana'a's response is gradually escalating and could lead to a dangerous conflict and Western involvement, particularly led by the US, in an exhaustive war that they aim to avoid in this region.

The United States aims to include 40 countries in the announced alliance, but only nine have responded, primarily its allies, including Britain, Bahrain, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Seychelles, and Spain.

The Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7.

The relentless Israeli strikes against Gaza have killed at least 19,453 people, most of them women and children, in Gaza. Another 52,286 individuals have been wounded as well.

Reports revealed that Israeli shipping companies have already decided to reroute their vessels in fear of attacks by Yemeni forces.

The Yemeni forces have also launched missile and drone attacks on targets in the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine after the occupying regime’s aggression on Gaza.
