News - Yemen: Political researcher Hikmat Shahrour affirmed that Yemen's actions in Operation Al-Aqsa Storm signify the diminishing dominance of the US and signal the impending collapse of the Israeli entity.

In an interview with Al-Masirah, Shahrour explained that Yemen's resistance stance holds tremendous significance. It underscores that the US, once a global dominator defining the 21st century, cannot assert its dominance to form a maritime alliance protecting Israeli ships.

"Even France and Britain initially joined the alliance with America, but withdrew within 24 hours. All this indicates the loss of US dominance," he stated.
 
He added that the American presence in the region is now exposed to risks, and its weakness has been revealed. Its existence was more connected to Hollywood propaganda than anything else.

Shahrour highlighted that Yemen, enduring nine years of severe war, not only challenged the US but also struck hard blows rather than mere slaps.

"This is something the US administration is not accustomed to, and there will definitely be congressional inquiries regarding the issues America has been involved in and its policies it has committed to in favor of Israel in the region," he added.

He emphasized the US's weakening influence, not just in Ukraine but also in the Arab region, despite deploying aircraft carriers, warships, and the entire NATO alliance. Yet, it fails to respond effectively to the downing of its $30 million aircraft by a possibly $10,000 missile.

The US announced plans to establish a multinational task force under the pretext of protecting shipping in the Red Sea following Yemen's retaliatory attacks on Israeli-owned and -bound vessels in support of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Pentagon has said that at least 20 countries are part of Operation Prosperity Guardian, but some nations have not confirmed their participation and others have resisted joining the US-led coalition, Reuters reported.

In recent weeks, Yemen's Armed Forces have carried out missile and drone attacks against ships en route to Israeli ports in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which has come under an unrelenting genocidal Israeli war.

The Israeli regime launched its devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out a surprise retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.

The relentless Israeli military campaign against Gaza has killed more than 21,600 people, most of them women and children. Over 55,000 individuals have also been wounded.

The Yemeni forces have vowed to keep up their strikes until the regime stops the war and lifts a crippling siege that it has been enforcing on Gaza.
