Ansarullah Political Bureau: US Militarization of the Red Sea Threatens Maritime Navigation
News - Yemen: The Political Bureau of Ansarullah emphasized that the United States adopts a policy of deceit and misinformation regarding its military activities in the Red Sea.
In a statement, the Bureau stressed that the US militarization of the Red Sea poses a threat to maritime navigation and seeks to undermine security and stability in the region.
It confirmed that US military activities in the Red Sea are illegitimate and unlawful, serving no purpose other than supporting the Zionist entity.
Ansarullah's Political Bureau stated that avoiding escalation in the Red Sea requires ending the aggression and lifting the blockade on Gaza. Any other action would widen the conflict, holding the United States entirely responsible for continuing its support for the Israeli entity.
Earlier on Wednesday, the head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, affirmed that international navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea is secure.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the United States' narrative, Abdulsalam called for an end to the misleading representation of the risks posed to international navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. He highlighted the U.S.'s agenda to militarize the Red Sea, serving the interests of Israel and endorsing its ongoing aggressive actions in the Gaza Strip.
Abdulsalam restated the unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces to target Israeli ships or those en route to the occupied ports of Palestine until the aggression ceases and the blockade on Gaza is lifted. He concluded his statement with a stern warning, indicating that any interference with the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces would be met with a decisive response.
In response to the US treacherous attack against Yemeni naval personnel, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a military operation targeting a US vessel providing support to Israel. The spokesperson, Yahya Sare'e, announced this joint operation involving Naval Forces, Rocket Forces, and Air Forces on Wednesday.
The announcement emphasized the Armed Forces' commitment to respond appropriately to all hostile threats, exercising their right to legitimate defense of their country, people, and nation. It further affirmed their determination to prevent Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine from navigating in the Arab and Red Seas until the aggression stops and the blockade on Gaza Strip is lifted.
Since the commencement of the Israeli regime's relentless military campaign against Gaza in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against the Israeli occupation. The Armed Forces have conducted recent attacks on ships with ties to Israel near Yemeni ports, including the interception and seizure of a vessel associated with the Tel Aviv regime on November 19.
The ongoing Israeli siege has inflicted heavy casualties on Palestinians in Gaza, who have been enduring the war since October 7.
Gaza's Health Ministry said nearly 23,357 people, mostly women and children, had been killed in the war that the regime started following an operation staged by the Palestinian territory's resistance movements.
