The demonstrators gathered in front of the White House in the United States capital on Saturday, as they carried signs listing the names of Palestinians killed and accusing President Joe Biden of participating in genocide.
The protesters also held aloft signs questioning Biden’s viability as a presidential candidate due to his support for Israel’s assault on Gaza, with some of the signs reading “No votes for Genocide Joe,” “Biden has blood on his hands" and “Let Gaza live.”
Sunday’s event was led by a coalition of pro-Palestinian groups who are calling for a permanent cease-fire in Gaza, an end to US funding for the Israeli military and for Israel to be held accountable for “war crimes and violations of international law.”
Attendees from close to two dozen states participated in the rally, marking the biggest pro-Palestinian march since November.
