News - Middle East: Amnesty International issued a warning on Tuesday, expressing concerns about escalating indicators pointing to the potential occurrence of genocide in the Gaza Strip. The warning comes in the wake of the death of over 25,000 individuals in Israeli attacks on the region.

In a statement, the organization highlighted indicators of genocide, including the "deliberate deprivation of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza by Israel" and the adoption of racist and inhumane discourse against Palestinians by some officials in the entity.

The statement further elaborated on these indicators, citing what it described as "historic discrimination and suppression against Palestinians under the apartheid regime."

Amnesty International underscored that there are no signs of an imminent end to the collective humanitarian suffering, destruction, and devastation in Gaza. It awaits a final ruling from the International Court of Justice regarding the reality of committing acts of genocide and other crimes under international law.

The Israeli regime launched the war on October 7, 2023 following Operation al-Aqsa Storm by Gaza's resistance movements. Close to 25,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have lost their lives so far as a result of the onslaught.
