News - Yemen: The main committee of the Shura Council in Sana'a expressed concern on Wednesday about regional and local powers engaging in suspicious activities orchestrated by the US and British governments. These activites aim to mobilize mercenaries and agents on the Yemeni border, serving their colonial interests.

During its meeting, chaired by Council Speaker Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidaroos, the committee reiterated its opposition to the policies of US and British aggression.

It accused them of distorting the truth about the situation in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and their continued terrorist aggression against Yemeni cities.

The committee pointed out that the US and its allies are involved in acts such as blackmailing and seizing ships within territorial waters. It addrd that these actions were an attempt to implicate Yemen and incite international public opinion against Yemen's support for the oppressed Palestinian people.

The Shura main committee stated that the actions of the US outside the framework of international law confirm its role as a promoter of terrorism and chaos worldwide. It also stated that the US poses a threat to international navigation in favor of the Zionist entity.

The committee reaffirmed Sana'a's commitment to the security of international navigation and trade. It stated that Yemeni operations exclusively target ships belonging to the Zionist entity or those heading to occupied ports.

The US and UK launched a series of aerial and navy strikes across Yemen as Yemeni forces continue retaliatory attacks in the Red Sea on Israeli-owned ships or merchant vessels destined for the occupied territories over an unrelenting Israeli onslaught against the Gaza Strip. The aggression was conducted with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands.
