In a statement issued on Sunday, the Council considered the US-British aggression a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty, a flagrant breach of international conventions and laws, and organized terrorism aimed at expanding the conflict and threatening international security and peace while covering up the crimes of the Zionist entity in Palestine.
The statement affirmed that Yemen's stance, whether from its leadership, government, or people, towards the Palestinian issue, is steadfast and will not change, regardless of the increasing US-British brutality and aggression. It held the aggression alliance responsible for all the consequences and repercussions of these terrorist acts in Yemen and the countries of the Resistance Axis on all levels.
It pointed out that the continuation of the US in pursuing its policy of domination is no longer fruitful, as its claims about rights and freedoms have been exposed to the world as false, and its actions and unlimited support for the Zionist entity have revealed it as the main sponsor of terrorism in the world.
The statement emphasized that the US should have sought to resolve its internal problems in some of its states and put an end to the brutal massacres committed in Palestine, rather than getting involved in further chaos to serve its colonial ambitions aimed at controlling the people of the region and plundering its resources.
The statement reiterated the commitment of the Yemeni people and Armed Forces to stand behind the revolutionary and political leadership in taking all necessary measures to deter the US-British aggression and support the Palestinian people until the aggression and unjust siege on the Gaza Strip are ended.
Late on Saturday, the US and UK executed new strikes on Yemen utilizing air and surface platforms, including fighter jets, with the backing of Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.
In a statement, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed that the strikes aim to "degrade" Yemen’s capabilities for naval pro-Palestine operations.
Yemen’s Armed Forces announced on Sunday that they will not let the recent series of airstrikes conducted by the United States and Britain in the Yemeni capital Sana’a and other regions of the country go unanswered.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e reported that the US-UK aggression carried out 48 air raids on the Yemeni provinces of Sana’a, Hodeidah, Sa’adah, Al-Baidha, Taiz, and Lahij.
“These attacks will not discourage Yemeni forces and the nation from maintaining their support for Palestinians in the face of the Zionist occupation and crimes,” he added. “The aggressors' airstrikes will not go unanswered.”
Israel initiated a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 following a historic operation by the Palestinian Hamas resistance group against the occupying regime.
The US has provided unwavering support for Israel during the aggression, resulting in the death of at least 27,238 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injuring 66,452 others.
In solidarity with the Palestinians in besieged Gaza, Yemeni forces have targeted Israel-bound ships in the southern Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and even in the Arabian Sea.
In response to the pro-Palestine maritime campaign, the US and its allies have bombed Yemen in violation of the country’s sovereignty and international law.
The illicit attacks prompted Yemen to declare American and British vessels as legitimate targets for its armed forces.
