Reuters Report Exposes US Lies of Sana'a's Threats to International Navigation in Red Sea

Yemen: Contrary to the narrative being pushed by the United States regarding Sana'a's alleged threat to international navigation in the Red Sea, a report published on Thursday by Reuters confirms that Sana'a's operations only target ships associated with Israel, Britain, and the US.

The agency quoted Marcus Baker, global head of marine and cargo with insurance broker Marsh, as saying: "The ships that have so far faced issues, almost all of them have some element of Israeli or US or UK ownership." This affirms the credibility of Sana'a, which consistently states that its military operations only target ships associated with Israel, as well as American and British vessels in response to aggression against Yemen.

The remarks from Marcus Baker, as reported by Reuters, confirm that the US is engaging in deception and misinformation while attempting to disrupt navigation in the Red Sea by pressuring international shipping companies to reroute their vessels away from the area. This effectively transforms the issue from one concerning Israel into a global problem.

Reuters also confirmed in its report that ships continue to traverse the Red Sea, undermining American claims and demonstrating the safety of navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas for all countries except those heading to Israel. Additionally, no shipping company has reported that its vessels bound for countries other than Israel have been targeted by Sana'a.

To counteract American falsehoods that could impact international shipping companies, Sana'a is bolstering its assurances to these entities. Recently, Sana'a provided guarantees to these companies regarding the safety of their vessels' passage in the Red and Arabian Seas. This was corroborated by Abdulwahab Aldurra, Minister of Transport in the Sana'a government, who stated in a recent press release that Sana'a has communicated assurances to international shipping companies regarding the safety of their vessels' passage in these seas, on the condition that they are not associated with Israel.

Similarly, Mohammed Ayash Qahim, the governor of Hodeidah, affirmed in a statement that maritime navigation in the Red Sea is safe, citing the passage of 4,300 ships through the area since Sana'a began its military operations in the region.

Despite Washington's falsehoods and Sanaa's assurances of maritime safety, the passage of ships remains contingent on decisions made by international shipping companies regarding their routes through the Red Sea. This is especially true after Sana'a provided assurances to these companies, thereby bolstering its credibility and refuting American claims.
