News - Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Monday that the naval forces targeted two American ships in the Gulf of Aden through two distinct high-quality military operations, using a number of appropriate naval missiles. Additionally, a British ship was targeted, and an American MQ9 drone was downed within the past 24 hours.

The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Sare'e, clarified in a statement that the two targeted American ships in the Gulf of Aden are "Sea Champion" and "Navis Fortuna."

He confirmed that the Yemeni Armed Forces executed 4 naval and aerial operations in the past 24 hours, adding that the British ship has been completely sunk.

Spokesperson for the Armed Forces, Sare'e, stated, "We affirm our full right to take further military measures in the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf in defense of our people, our country, and our nation."

"Operations in Red and Arabian Seas continue until aggression ends and Gaza blockade lifted," he added.

Morning Today, Yemeni Armed Forces announced that the Naval Forces struck a British ship in the Gulf of Aden, causing it to cease its operations in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, who are currently under aggression and siege. 

“Our Naval Forces targeted the British ship Rubymar in the Gulf of Aden with several appropriate naval missiles, achieving direct and significant hits,” said the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e in a televised statement.

Sare’e affirmed that "as a result of the qualitative operation in the Gulf of Aden, the British ship was hit and came to a complete halt. Due to the extensive damage, the ship is at risk of sinking." He also noted that the Yemeni forces ensured the safe exit of the British ship's crew during the operation in the Gulf of Aden.

In the same regard, a spokesman for the Armed Forces announced that the Yemeni Air Defenses successfully shot down an American MQ9 aircraft with a suitable missile while it was conducting hostile missions against Yemen in the skies of Hodeidah Governorate on behalf of the Zionist entity.

The Armed Forces reiterated their commitment that their operations are in support of the just cause of the Palestinian people in Gaza, who are facing aggression and siege, and as part of the response to the US-British aggression against the country.

The statement emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate to take further military measures and conduct more qualitative operations against all hostile targets in defense of Yemen and support of the Palestinian people.

It affirmed that the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red and Arabian Seas will not stop until the aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted.

Yemenis have openly expressed their support for Palestine's struggle against Israeli occupation, particularly intensified after Israel launched a devastating attack on Gaza on October 7. 

Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they would prevent the Israeli-bounded ships from moving through the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandab strait until the Israeli aggression against Gaza stopped and the siege was lifted. 

In response, the United States and the United Kingdom have conducted airstrikes in Yemen. This action follows the Biden administration and its allies providing unqualified support to the Tel Aviv regime. They have stated that Yemeni forces will face consequences for any attacks on Israeli-owned ships or vessels heading to the occupied territories.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until the relentless Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza cease. These offensives have resulted in the deaths of at least 29,092 people and injuries to over 69,028 others.
