Aden Governor: Yemen Asserts Regional Power Amidst Shifting Dynamics

Yemen: In an exclusive interview with Al-Masirah newspaper, Aden Governor Tarek Mustafa Salam delivered a resounding message, signaling a seismic shift in the region's geopolitical landscape. Salam's remarks underscored Yemen's emergence as a formidable force, challenging the dominance of the UAE-Saudi coalition and reshaping the balance of power.

"The Emirati-Saudi occupation now grasps the extent of the quagmire it finds itself in, breathing its last breaths," declared Governor Salam, emphasizing the waning influence of the coalition.

Highlighting the mounting dissent against Emirati and Saudi ambitions within occupied Yemeni territories, Salam noted a noticeable surge in voices opposing their presence. "Yemen is not the canvas they envisioned to paint their dreams upon; the scales have shifted, and powers realigned," he asserted.

When questioned about the prevailing chaos and economic distress in regions under UAE-Saudi control, Salam attributed it to a deliberate campaign of destruction and manipulation. He painted a grim picture of life under their rule, describing a dire shortage of basic necessities like food, medicine, water, and electricity, amidst rampant insecurity and lawlessness.

Addressing suspicious activities such as the presence of Mossad members in Mukalla, military bases in Socotra, and construction near the Ryan Airport, Salam hinted at Western interference aimed at expanding their influence. He warned against the nefarious designs of external forces and urged southern factions to unite against threats jeopardizing national security.

Regarding recent developments at Ryan Airport, Salam accused the UAE of establishing secret prisons and perpetrating human rights violations to maintain their colonial grip. He cautioned against the UAE's agenda of stifling dissent and trampling on freedoms, urging southern factions to resist such encroachments.

In response to the UAE's aggressive stance and increasing normalization with Israel, Salam condemned their collaboration with Zionist forces. He reassured that Yemenis, both in the north and south, stand in solidarity with Palestinian resistance against Israeli aggression.

Governor Salam's words reflect Yemen's unwavering resolve amidst regional turmoil, signaling a decisive shift in the country's fortunes and reaffirming its commitment to defending national sovereignty against external aggression.

Aden Governor affirmed the significant changes in the beliefs and awareness of the street in the occupied areas, especially with the changing regional and international dynamics, and the revolutionary leadership's rejection of colonial projects.

Salam spoke about the increasing voices opposing the Saudi-Emirati occupation, noting that Saudi Arabia has expelled southern activists from its territories, reflecting a shift in southern awareness towards political conflicts and foreign interests.

Regarding the UAE's expansion in building new prisons in Hadramout, Salam pointed out that this comes within the context of the starvation war waged by the countries involved in aggression, warning of the escalation risks of the occupation and its impact on humanitarian conditions.

Salam addressed the failure of the aggression in the military war and its adoption of the siege and starvation policy, confirming that the colonial projects of the occupiers have become mere ink on paper in light of changing regional dynamics.

Salam concluded by affirming that the fate of the aggression alliance in the occupied areas is inevitable defeat and that Yemen will not allow the disposal of its resources and will continue its resistance by all available means.
