Shura Council Condemns US-UK Aggression, Stands with Palestinian Cause

News - Yemen: Yemen's Shura Council commended the ongoing strategic operations conducted by the Yemeni Armed Forces' Air and Naval Units against American, British, and Israeli vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, viewing it as a triumph for the righteous Palestinian cause.

The Council denounced the recent US-UK aggression targeting the capital and several provinces, attributing it to the steadfast religious, moral, and humanitarian stance of the Yemeni people in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle. This stance includes obstructing Zionist ships' passage to occupied ports via the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.

The Council affirmed its support for the continuation of military operations against the Zionist entity in response to the Yemeni people's call and in implementation of the revolutionary and political leadership's directives, in support of the Palestinian people, until the aggression and blockade stop, and humanitarian and relief materials are allowed to enter the Gaza Strip.

Strongly condemning the ongoing Zionist entity's atrocities, including the starvation tactics and terrorizing practices against Palestinians, the statement highlighted the entity's targeting of civilians during protests, leaving bodies in the streets, and detaining medical and media personnel, subjecting them to degrading treatment.

The Council emphasized that the brazen attacks by the US, UK, and their allies in Yemen are not about ensuring Red Sea navigation freedom, as claimed, but rather to obfuscate Zionist massacres and perpetuate the ruthless siege against Palestinians. This siege has resulted in nearly 100,000 casualties, predominantly women and children, over the past 142 days.

Expressing dismay over the UN Security Council's persistent submission to American veto power, the Council condemned its failure to pass resolutions halting the war on Palestinians, flagrantly violating humanitarian and ethical norms while bolstering history's most egregious conflict.

The Council urged global citizens and human rights organizations to mobilize efforts across all fronts, pressuring the international community and nations supporting the Zionist regime to halt Palestinian bloodshed. Additionally, it called for facilitating the entry of aid convoys into northern Gaza to address acute food shortages and stave off impending famine.

Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against Zionist occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, following the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by Palestinian resistance movements.

Yemeni Armed Forces have targeted ships in the Red Sea with owners linked to Israel or those going to and from ports in the occupied territories.

In response, the US has formed a military coalition against Yemeni forces in the Red Sea and endangered maritime navigation in the strategic waterway.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that they will not cease retaliatory strikes. The maritime attacks have compelled major shipping and oil companies to suspend their voyages to the ports of the Zionist enemy.
