News - Middle East: Dr. Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, has reported that Israeli forces have targeted and killed 364 health workers, while also arresting 269 others, including hospital directors in Khan Yunis and northern Gaza.

In a statement issued on Monday, he confirmed that Israeli forces had demolished 155 health institutions, rendering 32 hospitals and 53 health centers non-operational. Additionally, they targeted 126 ambulances, rendering them unusable.

Al-Qudra emphasized that Israel's deliberate actions have led to an unprecedented humanitarian and health catastrophe, contributing to the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases. He highlighted the monitoring of about one million cases of infectious diseases without the necessary medical capabilities available.

Warning of an impending famine due to the scarcity of drinking water and lack of food in northern Gaza, Al-Qudra noted the tragic loss of dozens of children, women, and elderly individuals.

He called on the United Nations to activate international humanitarian law for the protection of civilians, institutions, and health teams.

The ministry announced an increase in the toll of the continuous Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7th to 30,534 martyrs and 71,920 wounded.

Since October 7th, enemy forces have waged a brutal war, dropping tens of thousands of explosives, destroying more than 50 percent of buildings in the Strip, and displacing 90% of its population internally, causing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis and famine, especially in Gaza and the West Bank.
