News - Yemen: Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atefi, warned the United States and the United Kingdom of potential heightened naval confrontations, surpassing expectations in operations.

During his meeting on Tuesday with brigades and military units in the 5th Military Region in Hodeidah province, Minister Al-Atefi stressed that the upcoming period is marked by significant developments, and the Armed Forces possess untapped strategic options.

He emphasized that the aggression against Yemen by the US and UK was in response to Yemen's steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their resilient resistance in Gaza. Al-Atefi stated that the repeated attacks by the US and UK will neither weaken the Armed Forces nor dampen the morale of the Yemeni people.

Addressing Washington and London, Al-Atefi stated, “If you claim to protect the Zionist interests, then support the Palestinian people.”

He cautioned that Yemen would vigilantly monitor any Zionist, American, or British ship attempting to violate the imposed ban on their movement in the Red and Arabian Seas.

Recently, the Minister of Defense clarified that the Yemeni Armed Forces, under the guidance and supervision of the revolutionary leadership, have worked on further development, modernization, and intensive programs for all their formations. This is to be constantly prepared and highly ready for effective management in participating in the promised victory and sacred jihad battle. They are prepared to engage in any confrontation that requires Yemen's accelerated participation and to accomplish any assigned tasks supported by the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council. This is in light of the specific challenges that characterize this inflamed stage open to all possibilities.

Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against Zionist occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, following the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by Palestinian resistance movements.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that they will not cease retaliatory strikes against ships in the Red Sea with owners linked to Israel or those going to and from ports in the occupied territories. The maritime attacks have compelled major shipping and oil companies to suspend their voyages to the ports of the Zionist enemy.
