Yemeni Armed Forces Announces Targeting Five US, Israeli Ships in Red Sea, Indian Ocean

News - Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Friday the ban of Zionist navigation in the Indian Ocean, targeting an 'Israeli' ship and an American destroyer in the Red Sea, and three other American and Israeli ships in the Indian Ocean.

In a statement during the million-man march in Sabaeen Square in the capital Sanaa in solidarity with Gaza, the spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Saree, said: " the naval forces targeted the Israeli ship (Pacific 01) in the Red Sea with several naval missiles."

He added that the Yemeni Armed Forces also targeted an American destroyer in the Red Sea with several drones, successfully achieving their objectives.

The Armed Forces announced to expand the the scope of their operations against Israeli ships, those linked to Israel, or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine, to include the Indian Ocean long to the Cape of Good Hope.

"The expansion of the operations came in implementation of the directives of the leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik, in supporting the righteousness of Palestine and in response to the calls of our people and the free people of the nation," Saree explained.

The Armed Forces warned all ships affiliated with the Israelis not to pass through the Cape of Good Hope, otherwise, they would be a legitimate target.

They affirmed that they would not cease operations in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean until the cessation of Israeli aggression and the lifting of the blockade in Gaza.

Earlier, The Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi revealed that the Yemeni Armed Forces have expanded their retaliatory actions against vessels with ties to Israel. They aim to block the passage of these ships, even through the Indian Ocean and the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.

During a televised speech on Thursday, Sayyed Abdulmalik stated, “We aim to prevent the passage of ships associated with the Israeli enemy even through the Indian Ocean and from South Africa towards the Cape of Good Hope."

“For this important, advanced, and significant step, we have begun to implement our operations related to it through the Indian Ocean and from South Africa towards the Cape of Good Hope,” he said.

He affirmed that the military operations are ongoing with increasing effectiveness and impact, and their results are known. "There is no choice for the American and British enemies but to stop the aggression on Gaza and the starvation of the people in Gaza."

Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.

The Tel Aviv regime has also imposed a “complete siege” on the territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced preventing the Israeli-bounded ships from reaching the occupied Palestine through the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab until the Israeli aggression in stopped and the siege on Gaza is lifted .

The maritime attacks have forced some of the world’s biggest shipping and oil companies to suspend transit through one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes.

Tankers are instead adding thousands of miles to international shipping routes by sailing around the continent of Africa rather than going through the Suez Canal.

The US and Britain have been carrying out strikes against Yemen after Washington and its allies offered the Tel Aviv regime their unqualified support and said that Yemeni forces bear the consequences of their attacks against Israeli-linked ships sailing to and from the occupied territories.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have said they won’t stop retaliatory strikes.
