News - Yemen: The US-sponsored naval coalition in the Red Sea to stop Yemeni operations supporting Gaza has failed, an American website reported.

Bloomberg explained that for all the costly hardware the United States and its allies have thrown at Yemen, they haven’t been able to stop the attacks, emphasizing that Yemen's success in "stymying the world’s most sophisticated militaries is Washington's latest setback."

It reported that the world’s biggest shipping companies are still largely avoiding a route that once carried 15% of global commerce.

More than three months into a major naval policing operation, Admiral Marc Miguez, commander of the flotilla, concedes the US and its allies have more work to do.

One Western official admitted that the Yemeni Armed Forces likely have the ability to keep launching strikes in the Red Sea at something close to its current pace for months to come. 

How many missiles Yemen had in its arsenals at the outset of the conflict was “kind of a black hole for the US intelligence-wise,” conceded Miguez.

One US military official, who asked to remain anonymous discussing matters that aren’t public, said the US is on the wrong side of the cost curve in its campaign. America can sustain the costs, the official said, but it’s getting very expensive.

Two days ago, spokesman for the Armed Forces Brigadier Yahya Sare'e announced the execution of six military operations within 72 hours in the Red Sea, using missiles and drones.

He confirmed that "the Navy and the Rocketry Force carried out four joint operations on four ships, including two American ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden."

He also pointed out that "the Air Force carried out a qualitative military operation targeting two American destroyers in the Red Sea," confirming that "the military operations achieved their objectives successfully."

Sare'e stated that the Yemeni Armed Forces continue to carry out more operations against all hostile targets until the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip is stopped.
