News – Middle East: Mohammed Abdulsalam, the head of Yemen's National Delegation, reiterated Yemen's unwavering backing for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that Yemen's actions in the Red Sea are geared towards supporting the Palestinian people.

Abdulsalam made the remarks in a meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in the Omani capital of Muscat on Sunday.

He underscored the Islamic, ethical, and humanitarian dimensions of Yemen's support for the oppressed Palestinian people, emphasizing its significance for Arab and Islamic national security. Abdulsalam warned that the success of the Zionist entity in its aggression would jeopardize regional security in the Red Sea and undermine Arab and Islamic interests.

Abdulsalam debunked propaganda by the United States, the Zionist entity, and their allies against the National Salvation Government, asserting that Yemen poses no threat to ships from other countries in the Red Sea. He emphasized Yemen's principled stance and refuted false allegations made against it.

Abdulsalam commended Iran's steadfast support for Palestine and the resistance, attributing the hostility towards Iran by the US and its allies to Iran's honorable stance on Palestine.

He denounced the US's aggressive attacks on Yemen aimed at exacerbating economic, medical, and humanitarian crises, reaffirming Yemen's determination to uphold its principles.

the US and its allies have launched illegal attacks on Yemen amid their frustration in the face of an anti-Israel maritime campaign by the Yemeni armed forces.

Israel waged a US-backed genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7 following a historic operation by the Palestinian Hamas resistance group against the occupying regime.

In support of Gaza, Yemeni armed forces have targeted Israeli ships going to and from ports in the occupied territories, or those linked to Israel, in the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and even in the Arabian Sea.

The US-led attacks on Yemen prompted the country’s military to declare American and British vessels to be legitimate targets.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Abdulsalam expressed the full solidarity of the National Salvation Government and the Yemeni people with Iran over the recent Israeli crime of killing several Iranian military advisors in Damascus.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, for his part, praised Yemen's courageous support for the Palestinian cause, hailing it as a testament to Islamic fervor and human dignity. Abdollahian conveyed Iran's appreciation for Yemen's solidarity in the face of the Zionist attack in Damascus, pledging to hold the perpetrators accountable.

On April 1, Israeli warplanes bombed the Consular Section of the Iranian Embassy in the Mezzeh neighborhood in the Syrian capital Damascus.

A senior commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)’s Quds Force, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, and his deputy General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi were among the seven Iranian martyrs of the terrorist attack.

Abdollahian criticized the US, UK, and France for opposing a UN Security Council statement condemning the Zionist aggression, accusing them of political hypocrisy and complicity in Zionist crimes.

He condemned the US and UK's assaults on Yemen as violations of sovereignty and part of broader support for Zionist atrocities against Palestinians.
