4th European Frigate Withdraws: Yemeni Naval Front Strains America and Allies

News - Middle East: In the wake of the withdrawal of three European frigates – French, Danish, and Belgian – from the Red Sea due to challenges in countering Yemeni attacks supporting Gaza, which target vessels belonging to the Zionist enemy, the United States, and Britain, Germany announced on Saturday the withdrawal of its frigate Hessen from the area for replacement. This move comes amidst acknowledgments that the confrontation with Yemen marks one of the most perilous naval confrontations in decades. It underscores Washington's inability to keep pace with or impede Yemeni operations, despite involving European nations in militarizing international waters. Additionally, it puts these countries in a position to reassess the credibility of Yemeni leadership's warnings and the necessity of withdrawing their military assets from the sea, avoiding falling into American deception.

According to the German news agency DPA, the German army announced the conclusion of the mission of the warship Hessen and its departure from the Red Sea early on Saturday morning, following nearly two months of deployment.

The Hessen was deployed in the Red Sea on February 23rd, in response to Germany's compliance with American efforts to militarize international waters and mobilize against Yemen, hoping to halt maritime attacks targeting ships associated with Israel, the United States, and Britain. However, Washington's failure to make any headway in confronting Yemen has led to the involvement of European countries and creating an international problem to increase pressure on Sana'a, without yielding results.

The German frigate Hessen committed a clear operational error days after its deployment when it engaged with an American drone flying over the Red Sea, mistaking it for a Yemeni drone. This revealed confusion and a lack of coordination among Western forces.

According to the German agency, the mission of the frigate witnessed "providing assistance to a soldier from a partner country," indicating injuries among Western military personnel due to Yemeni naval operations.

The agency quoted the German Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius, as saying: "This is the most dangerous naval operation in decades."

The withdrawal of the German frigate comes after France and Denmark announced the withdrawal of two frigates due to the danger of confronting Yemeni drones and fast and lethal missiles, and Belgium retracted the deployment of its frigate after failing a test to intercept a drone. This confirms that Yemeni attacks have highlighted significant deficiencies in Western naval capabilities.

Previously, Britain resorted to replacing the warship Diamond with the ship Richmond after the former was subjected to several attacks by Yemeni drones, for replenishment purposes and then returned. This revealed a significant weakness in the British Navy's ability to keep up with ongoing Yemeni operations and to counter them. This applies to European frigates that have been withdrawn.

Many commanders and officers of British and American warships have made statements in the past period confirming their inability to counter Yemeni missiles and drones, affirming that Yemen's attacks are becoming more lethal, accurate, and frequent over time, acknowledging that what is happening represents the greatest naval challenge since World War II.

Last week, the US Navy Minister revealed that the United States had depleted ammunition worth a billion dollars in confronting Yemeni operations, which is a significant loss considering the ongoing success of Yemen in imposing a blockade on ships associated with the Zionist enemy, the United States, and Britain.

In light of these facts, the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, renewed his call last Thursday for European countries to withdraw their warships from the Red Sea, affirming that the congestion of warships in international waters affects navigation and that European ships can safely pass through the area as long as they do not head towards the Zionist entity.

Germany's position supporting America in the Red Sea comes in the context of its blatant and prominent support for the Zionist entity, prompting it to replace the frigate Hessen with another, despite proving its inability to confront Yemeni operations and their danger.
