May 2nd Over 9 Years: 7 Casualties, 11 Transport Trucks Burned, Homes and Farms Destroyed in Sana'a, Sa'adah, and Al-Baidha

Yemen: May 2nd, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2020 have left a somber imprint on Yemen's history, with scenes of devastation, fires, and deliberate targeting of civilians, their farms, and properties, as well as cargo trucks and food supplies in Sa'adah, Sana'a, and Al-Bayda.

Highlighted below are the most significant incidents on this day:

May 2nd, 2015: Two Martyrs, One Wounded, and Interference of Airstrikes Impeding Paramedics

May 2nd, 2015, marked another chapter in the journey of the US-Saudi aggression, as it directed its bombs and missiles toward the Bajil area in Sa'adah governorate, where several farmers were working on their farms. Amid the civilian targets, three farmers fell victim to the treacherous airstrikes, resulting in the deaths of two and injuring the third.

After unleashing its payload, the aggressor's aircraft returned, disregarding humanitarian laws or any potential military response. Unfazed by accountability to Allah, they wielded their influence over UN positions and the international community's silence regarding their heinous crimes against the Yemeni people.

As the martyrs' bodies, along with the wounded and their cries of pain, were surrounded by locals, anger and determination surged, fueling a desire for revenge against the aggression.

The martyrs' bodies were solemnly carried back to their homes for the final farewell. Yet, their loved ones - children, women, men, and elders - united with a sense of responsibility and readiness to resist, echoing the resolve and determination of the wounded to engage in jihad for the sake of Allah.

In these crimes, Yemen's honor and resilience shone, bolstering support for the fronts throughout the past decade. Victory, strength, and dignity were the fruits for Yemen, while disappointment, defeat, and evident loss were reaped by our enemies, exposing their alliance with the forces of evil against humanity.

The citizens of Bajil were unaware that their lives had become game for the US-Saudi aggression's airstrikes on their orchards. They were unaware of the complicity and silence of the international community and the United Nations, which condemned the targeting of civilians during times of conflict. This silence branded them as victims of international law, traded for the crimes of aggression, perpetuating massacres and atrocities into the ten years of war.

The US-Saudi airstrikes resulted in the martyrdom of two farmers, the injury of another, the destruction of numerous trees and crops, and instilled panic and terror in the hearts of the local residents, portraying a scene of bloodshed and souls, highlighting the sinister alliance of aggression against humanity.

On May 2nd, 2015, the aggression targeted the main road at Al-Sabeen Square, marking it as a strategic target. The relentless airstrikes over the skies of Sana'a induced fear and panic among civilians, particularly children and women in their homes and commuters on public vehicles passing through the area.

The aftermath revealed a massive crater and scattered asphalt, evidence of the destruction caused by a US missile dropped from the aggression's aircraft. This deliberate targeting of a route frequented by thousands daily sent a chilling message: surrender or face missile strikes under your own roofs and streets.

Despite enduring 37 days of relentless aggression, the Yemeni people and their leadership remained resolute, refusing to yield and instead organizing a response. Emerging from the rubble, they declared their determination to resist and fight back against the airstrikes, demonstrating their readiness for confrontation.

Eyewitnesses condemned the airstrikes as a display of hatred towards the Yemeni people, urging the international community to intervene and halt the aggression, uphold humanitarian law, and condemn the brutal attacks.

As the war entered its tenth year, the Yemeni people continued to stand firm, challenging hegemonic powers and surprising the world with their resilience and resolve on all fronts.

May 2nd, 2018: Scorched Earth in Sa'adah as Forbidden Bombs Rain Down

On the same date in 2018, the aggression's aircraft intensified their flights over Sa'adah governorate, targeting civilians, gatherings, and vital interests, as directed by the aggressors' military command.

In a series of airstrikes over the Ghummar area in the Razih district, the US-Saudi coalition inflicted extensive destruction on cars, properties, homes, and farms, leaving behind a landscape of devastation. Despite the chaos, divine protection spared civilian lives, instilling hope and faith amidst despair.

The scenes depicted cars reduced to scrap, demolished houses, scorched farmlands, and unexploded ordnance scattered across the area. While the airstrikes wreaked havoc, survivors found solace in Allah's mercy, emerging from the rubble with renewed determination and gratitude for their preservation.

In the face of such devastation, the resilience of the Yemeni people shone through, reminding the world that righteousness and perseverance will ultimately prevail, and aggression will be met with steadfast resistance.

May 2nd, 2020: Aggression Targets Food Convoys at Al-Wadea Border Crossing

On this day in 2020, a line of trucks carrying fuel, gas, food, and essential goods for Yemenis awaited customs inspection at the Al-Wadea border crossing in Al-Malahim district. However, the US-Saudi coalition, relentless in its pursuit to harm Yemeni civilians, targeted the convoy with airstrikes, marking the sixth year of its brutal campaign.

As aggression warplanes loomed over Al-Wadea, the first strike ignited columns of smoke and fire, sending truck drivers scrambling for cover behind earthen barriers. For hours, airstrikes rained down on the convoy, deliberately depriving besieged Yemenis of much-needed supplies.

Despite efforts to extinguish the flames, rescue teams were hindered by ongoing airstrikes, allowing the fire to spread unchecked. Truck drivers, including foreigners, faced terror as their livelihoods went up in smoke, echoing prayers for salvation.

The attack disrupted quarantine protocols and inflicted significant losses on businesses and workers at the border crossing. Officials condemned the aggression, highlighting its role in exacerbating Yemen's humanitarian crisis and exposing the hypocrisy of international rhetoric on human rights.

The airstrikes on Al-Wadea underscored the coalition's disregard for civilian life and the complicity of the international community in Yemen's suffering.
