May 4 Over 9 Years: 30 Martyrs and Injured in War Crimes in Sa'adah, Ibb

Yemen: May 4th marks a tragic day in the history of Yemen, with two separate incidents occurring in 2015 and 2018, resulting in the loss of lives and injuries of innocent civilians due to airstrikes by the US-Saudi aggression.

On May 4th, 2015, airstrikes targeted civilian homes in the village of Al-Masqah, located in the Al-Sadaa district of the Ibb governorate. These airstrikes led to the deaths of 10 civilians and injuries to 17 others, including women and children.

The residents of Al-Masqah, like many Yemeni families, were beginning their day with morning prayers and Quranic recitations when the airstrikes struck. Children, women, and worshippers were caught off guard as bombs rained down on their homes, turning the peaceful night into a scene of chaos and destruction.

Rescue efforts were hampered by continued airstrikes, forcing brave individuals to risk their lives in search of survivors. Despite their efforts, the airstrikes resulted in significant casualties, with homes destroyed and families left homeless.

This heinous act, perpetrated by the US-Saudi aggression, constitutes a war crime and genocide, for which the perpetrators must be held accountable. The international community must condemn such atrocities and ensure that justice is served for the innocent victims of these airstrikes.

May 4, 2018: 3 Wounded in US-Saudi Airstrikes on Civilians' Homes in Sa'adah

On May 4, 2018, the aggression aircraft targeted the homes of civilians in the village of Talan in the Haydan district of Sa'adah governorate.

At eleven o'clock at night on May 4, 2018, the people of Talan, like other Yemeni citizens, were asleep after a day of work, struggle, resilience, and activity in the fields, striving for a livelihood amidst aggression, suffocating siege, salary cuts, and high living costs.

At 11 PM the airstrikes commenced, turning their homes into a heap of rubble on their heads. After four years of targeted military operations against the resilient Yemeni people, characterized by heroic sacrifices and steadfastness on the front lines.

The shrapnel from the airstrike struck two children and their father in the head and limbs due to a missile launched by the aggression's aircraft at the roof of their home. Their night turned into a fateful day, causing immense suffering not only to them but also to their neighbors, loved ones, and the entire community.

The injured child receiving first aid in a facility in Sa'adah screams and demands an end to the medical procedure in a scene that reflects the brutality of the aggression responsible for such pain and wounds. It exposes the falsehood and hypocrisy of the claims of the international community, the United Nations, and its humanitarian and human rights laws condemning the targeting of civilians and civilian objects and boasting about children's rights and motherhood for decades.

The screams of the child, the pain of her father and sister, present an ethical and legal humanitarian scene that requires significant and effective action to protect humanity and human society from American savagery and its arms in this world. It also reflects the level of medical services in health facilities suffering from a shortage of medical supplies, first aid, and anesthesia due to the suffocating siege imposed by the aggression countries on Yemen, preventing the entry of medical equipment, many drugs, and medications.

The crime of targeting homes with inhabitants in Sa'adah governorate is one of thousands of crimes committed against the Yemeni people over the past nine years.

This crime and its counterparts tell the entire world to stop the US-Saudi aggression on Yemen and the Israeli-American aggression on Gaza, and to hold all criminals accountable in this human community aspiring to be saved from the satanic policies emanating from the White House's corridors.
