May 5 Over 9 Years: Over 10 Civilians Killed, Injured in US-Saudi Bombing of Sa'adah, Hodeidah

Yemen: The crimes of the US-Saudi aggression continue to haunt Yemen's memory, impossible to erase or forget.

In the initial months of the aggression that began on March 26, 2015, the ruthless airstrikes expanded to encompass everything in Yemen, with civilians, residential homes, government facilities, roads, bridges, mosques, and more at the forefront.

May 5, 2015: Series of Raids on Sa'adah

Sa'adah Governorate was among the prime targets chosen by the US-Saudi aggression, leaving nothing unscathed, including homes, public roads, hospitals, and anything moving on the ground, all subjected to US-Saudi brutality.

On May 5, 2015, US-Saudi warplanes targeted with a series of raids the main road between Kitaf and Al-Buqaa in Sa'adah Governorate, a major route used by thousands of citizens daily.

The aggression's strategy was evident in targeting bridges and roads to hinder traffic movement, divide directorates and governorates, and increase the cost of travel on safe roads.

These airstrikes instilled fear and panic among citizens, including children and women, in the targeted area.

The scenes revealed large craters and scattered asphalt pieces of various sizes, showing the destruction of the main asphalt road due to six airstrikes by the US-Saudi coalition.

May 5, 2018: Six Civilians Killed in Bombing on Baqim

Just as Sa'adah was a deliberate target for the US-Saudi aggression in 2015, it was again on this day in 2018.

Baqim District in Sa'adah Governorate bore the brunt of US-Saudi hostility, enduring 13 airstrikes and dozens of artillery shells targeting citizens' homes, farms, and properties, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including women and children.

The scenes showed US-Saudi warplanes targeting various areas, villages, homes, and farms in Baqim District with indiscriminate airstrikes and artillery shells, burning stones and trees, destroying crops and livestock, along with houses, which were hit by airstrikes and shelling, as well as burning cars and a citizen's fuel station.

Citizens expressed their outrage at these attacks, affirming their steadfastness and determination, refusing to succumb to Saudi brutality and vowing to continue defending the homeland against the savage Saudi aggression.

May 5, 2018: 3 Killed, Injured in Farm Targeting in Hodeidah

On this day, US-Saudi aggression warplanes targeted simple workers seeking to earn a living for their children while working on daily wages at a farm in Al-Jarahi district in Hodeidah governorate.

The airstrikes left two martyrs and one injured as they were harvesting mangoes, unaware that their bodies and lives had become disposable and permissible targets for the US-Saudi aggression.

The scenes revealed the US-Saudi aggression's animosity towards ordinary citizens and farms, burning them with airstrikes and turning them into barren land, causing panic and fear among the locals and residents of the area.

Residents in the area affirmed that the crimes of the aggression and its mercenaries have harmed them greatly, but they remain steadfast and unwavering, refusing to retreat even an inch as they face the aggression and mercenaries.

On the same day of the same year, mercenaries' artillery targeted civilians' homes on Martyrs Street in Al-Jarahi district, injuring two citizens and causing property damage, inflicting significant damage to their homes.

Over the past nine years of aggression, farms, homes, roads, hospitals, and schools in Hodeidah have been within the targets of the brutal aggression, in addition to the continuous violations by its mercenaries who have not upheld agreements such as the Stockholm Agreement.

These crimes remain a testimony to the ugliness of the aggression and its mercenaries in targeting the Yemeni people, who have lived for nine years under the mercy of missiles, shells, and siege, still paying a heavy price to this day. But Yemenis affirm that these crimes will remain etched in memory and cannot be forgotten or justified in any way.
