News - Middle East: Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) expresses its condolences over the "honorable martyrdom" of Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi and his entourage in a chopper crash in East Azarbaijan Province.

In a statement on Monday, the IRGC said the president's memories and "inspiring and epic" role in fulfilling important and sensitive responsibilities in the Islamic establishment, particularly during his three-year presidential tenure, must always remain alive and serve as a good model.
It added that the Islamic establishment will continue to move towards building a "strong Iran" and promoting "modern Islamic civilization" based on prudent guidelines of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and support of the Iranian nation.
The Islamic establishment will further move more resolutely to defeat and disappoint sworn enemies, it emphasized.
