In its meeting, the Council characterized the escalation as a dangerous trend that will be met with a firm and deterrent response by Yemen. They stressed that the Yemeni people will not stand idly by in the face of US-British targeting of their nation and its capabilities.
The Council condemned the recent US-British-Zionist aggression that targeted civilian objects and resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of citizens in several Yemeni governorates. They affirmed that these actions will not go unpunished and reiterated Yemen's unwavering support for the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza by all available means.
The Council emphasized the continued mobilization of the Yemeni people with vigor and determination, including various events, major marches, and filling the fields of training and rehabilitation. They noted that the momentum of the fourth phase of the Yemeni response is constantly rising and urged the US and Britain to halt Zionist massacres in Rafah and across the Gaza Strip. They also praised the recent operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces, including the targeting of the USS carrier Eisenhower in the Red Sea.
The Council highlighted the massive turnout of the Yemeni people in Al-Sabeen Square in Sana'a and other governorates shortly after the US-British raids, which underscores the steadfastness of Yemen's position in support of Gaza despite the challenges. They asserted that this position will only change if the Zionist aggression stops and the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted.
On the economic front, the Supreme Political Council stated that the US escalation in its economic war on Yemen will fail. They urged Saudi Arabia to refrain from engaging in economic measures that harm the livelihood of Yemeni citizens in both the north and south.
The Council called on all local and foreign financial institutions and individuals to comply fully with the instructions of the Central Bank of Yemen in Sana'a and to implement its decisions. They noted that the position of the Central Bank, controlled by mercenaries of aggression, is part of a strategy to pressure Yemen to abandon its support for the Palestinian people, in line with US support for the occupying entity. This, they said, constitutes an economic war no different from military actions aimed at looting and seizing the property of citizens and depositors.
The Council also pointed out the abject failure of the Saudi-baked government and its attempt to export their crisis to Sana'a following its failure at all levels, particularly economic.
The Supreme Political Council praised the positive efforts of financial institutions in Sana'a to protect the economy and acknowledged the role of national banks and the prominent private sector aligned with the homeland in thwarting conspiracies.
Since the start of Zionist aggression on Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces have escalated their operations, initially imposing a maritime navigation ban on Zionist entities in the Red Sea, and later expanding to include enemy-affiliated ships in the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. The fourth phase aims to enforce a total naval blockade on the Israeli regime, targeting any ships arriving at its ports in the Red Sea or the Mediterranean Sea.
