News - Yemen: The administration of Hodeidah International Airport has condemned the US-British airstrikes on the airport, calling it a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty and international agreements.

In a statement on Tuesday, the airport administration confirmed that over 30 airstrikes targeted the airport and its facilities, describing it as part of a criminal aggression to deter Yemen from supporting the Palestinian people.

The statement held the US and UK fully responsible for the destruction and damage to the airport, which hinders rehabilitation efforts. This targeting is seen as an extension of the nine-year siege and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the US-Saudi coalition.

The airport administration urged the international community and the United Nations to condemn the ongoing airstrikes.

The US-UK airstrikes on Yemen are perceived as an attempt to deter Yemen from preventing Israeli ships from passing through the Red Sea, in support of the Palestinians in Gaza, who face a genocidal war by the Zionist entity.

Yemen has declared its support for Palestine's struggle against Zionist occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, following the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by Palestinian resistance movements.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue retaliatory strikes, compelling major shipping and oil companies to suspend voyages to Israeli ports.
