Yemeni Strikes Force US to Withdraw Aircraft Carrier Eisenhower from Red Sea

Yemen: The United States has faced significant challenges in recent days due to ongoing Yemeni strikes against the American aircraft carrier Eisenhower. These attacks have prompted the US to withdraw the carrier from the Red Sea.

Colonel Mujeeb Shamsan, an expert and analyst, commented on this development, stating that the withdrawal of Eisenhower demonstrates the effectiveness of Yemeni operations, which are conducted in support of Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza. Shamsan noted that the repeated targeting of the carrier highlights the vulnerability of the enemy despite its advanced capabilities.

Speaking to Almasirah channel, Shamsan emphasized that the withdrawal of Eisenhower, or the arrival of another destroyer, makes little difference, as the American presence has proven ineffective in protecting ships in the region. He attributed the US insistence on maintaining a naval presence in the Red Sea to Zionist influence, asserting that this persistence will only lead to further American failures and defeats.

Shamsan also remarked that the American withdrawal marks a decline in US dominance and prestige, indicating internal conflicts within its legislative and military institutions. He stressed that this withdrawal signifies the rise of Yemen as a significant military power in the region.

Earlier, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced a new targeting operation against Eisenhower north of the Red Sea, using ballistic and winged missiles. He confirmed that the operation successfully hit its targets. This marks the fourth time Eisenhower has been targeted in the Red Sea. Following these attacks, the US announced it would replace Eisenhower with the aircraft carrier Roosevelt.

Sare'e reiterated that the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their military operations in support of the Palestinian people until the aggression is halted and the siege on Gaza is lifted. He emphasized that Yemeni forces will not hesitate to target hostile foreign warships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea in defense of Yemen's sovereignty.

Since the onset of the Al-Aqsa Storm battle and the Zionist aggression on Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces have imposed a ban on ships linked to the Zionist entity. Hundreds of operations have been conducted against these ships and American and British military assets, including Eisenhower, which has been directly hit by ballistic, naval, and drone missiles.

In early May, Brigadier General Sare'e announced that the Yemeni Armed Forces had entered the "fourth phase of escalation," targeting all ships violating the Israeli navigation ban and those heading to ports in occupied Palestine from the Mediterranean Sea, in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.
