These attacks have instilled fear, panic, and deep sorrow among Yemenis, prompting renewed waves of displacement from homes, villages, and conflict areas, leaving a stain of shame on the international community and the United Nations. The Yemeni people's rights are guaranteed and will not be subject to statute of limitations in holding criminals accountable and bringing them to justice.
Here are the key details of the aggression's crimes on this day:
June 26, 2015: 21 Casualties in US-Saudi Airstrikes on Hajjah
On June 25, 2015, US-Saudi aggression aircraft targeted the historical fort of Al-Sharaf, a school, and a mosque in Al-Mahabisha city in Hajjah province. The airstrikes resulted in four martyrs and 17 wounded, causing panic and fear among women and children, triggering a new wave of displacement, destroying the historical fort and school, damaging the mosque, with parts falling on worshippers during Friday prayers. Several houses, farms, and properties of citizens were also damaged.
The aggression disregarded the sanctity of bloodshed during Ramadan and the congregation of worshippers in mosques for Friday prayers, attempting the largest brutal massacre, but divine mercy prevented it. These acts aimed to intimidate and terrorize residents, forcing them to leave their homes and cities, joining the ranks of displaced and refugees.
The targeting of forts, schools, and mosques in Hajjah province is one of the coalition's crimes against civilian infrastructure and Yemeni bloodshed over nine continuous years in all Yemeni provinces.
June 26, 2015: 2 Wounded in Aggression's Airstrikes on Sa'adah
On June 26, 2015, the aggression's aircraft targeted civilians' homes in the cultural quarter and transportation neighborhood in Sa'adah City. The airstrikes injured an elderly woman and a child, destroying several homes previously damaged by airstrikes, causing fear and terror among nearby residents, and prompting a new wave of displacement from many homes.
The scenes of extensive destruction and devastation in wide neighborhoods and districts that were densely populated with residents and commercial shops turned Sa'adah city into a ghost town, reflecting the extent of the aggression's brutality and military plans that turned Sa'adah into a scorched earth.
