Yemen's 4th Military Region Demonstrates Tactical Mastery in Complex Military Maneuver

News - Yemen: Yemeni Armed Forces have simulated attacks on Israeli military command centers, strategic sites, and illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories during a military exercise, as they continue attacks in the Red Sea in retaliation for the regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.

The Fourth Military Region conducted a complex military maneuver involving multiple military units, including drone aviation, artillery, snipers, anti-tank units, infantry, armored units, and engineering.

The operational area was divided into two positions: attack and defense, focusing on leadership, control, and coordination among various units.

The maneuver commenced with an attack on virtual Israeli and British enemy camps, showcasing high levels of training and coordination among attacking Yemeni forces. It featured diverse combat tactics, flexibility, and combat performance.

In the first phase, drones targeted surveillance and observation posts within the "Israeli-British camp" using 120mm shells. Other aircraft targeted enemy vehicles inside and outside the camp, disabling them and disrupting surveillance and monitoring devices. Simultaneously, command and control rooms were targeted, resulting in the confusion and loss of control by the enemy over the situation and isolating them from their remaining forces.

In the second phase, artillery units targeted the enemy artillery command and control room, preventing it from providing support to its forces. This was accompanied by intense targeting of enemy artillery emplacements and batteries using precise fire bundles.

In the third phase, sniper units targeted surveillance cameras positioned on buildings with high-caliber rifles, disabling them to aid our advancing forces and avoid detection or targeting. The momentum of the simultaneous attack on the assumed enemy camp continued with ongoing fires and coordination among attacking forces.

In the fourth phase, an anti-tank unit using RPGs emerged from secret underground tunnels to position themselves along the camp's walls, targeting enemy forces in buildings and destroying remaining vehicles inside and outside the camp.

Meanwhile, another anti-tank unit continued targeting remaining targets on the camp walls and those above the buildings. A third unit moved towards the camp, targeting barracks in the first floor of the camp buildings.

At the same time, another unit of anti-tank forces on mobile platforms (motorcycles) emerged from tunnels towards the camp via two paths, targeting targets located on the camp's perimeter and the remaining military vehicles of the enemy and returning to their positions.

After destroying all targets in buildings and walls of the Israeli camp and destroying its vehicles and weapons, the fifth phase began with the purification of the camp and complete control over it using infantry and vehicles. An elite infantry unit in BMW armored vehicles moved along two paths to besiege the camp and make contact with the enemy.

The attack plan was successfully executed within a realistic timeframe simulating maneuvering forces. It demonstrated a model of combat tactics in offensive operations simulating mission nature. The maneuver then transitioned to defending the responsibility area controlled by our forces according to a defensive plan covering all possibilities and scenarios used by the enemy in their attack.

The assumed enemy subsequently launched intensive attacks and reconnaissance using vehicles and infantry to regain control of the positions. The defending forces lured the enemy into a well-planned ambush, executing multiple stages to eliminate the enemy forces completely, destroy their vehicles, and kill their personnel.

The enemy's first stage included potential actions and combat tactics, where the enemy conducted reconnaissance of defensive force positions using weapons and artillery. The defending forces lured the enemy, evacuated the positions, and hid in pre-prepared trenches and bunkers.

In the following stage, as the enemy continued reconnaissance by creeping towards the defensive positions and gaining control over them, armored vehicles, including APCs, tanks, and IFVs, penetrated the responsibility area, advancing through the main line in the city center and seizing sensitive checkpoints. The defending forces detonated the ambush at the front of the trap to isolate and fully surround the enemy forces. Then an infantry unit retook the positions and sensitive checkpoints captured by the enemy.

Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.

More than 38,100 Palestinians have lost their lives since the Israeli regime launched its bloodiest-ever military offensive on Gaza in early October.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have said they won’t stop retaliatory strikes.

The maritime attacks have forced some of the world’s biggest shipping and oil companies to suspend transit through one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes.

Tankers are instead adding thousands of miles to international shipping routes by sailing around the continent of Africa rather than going through the Suez Canal.
