12 July Over 9 Years: Over 140 Martyrs and Wounded in Genocidal Crimes in Sanaa, Hajjah, Saada, and Amran

News - Yemen: On July 12 in the years 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020, the US-Saudi aggression deliberately committed brutal massacres and genocidal crimes by targeting residential areas in Sana'a, Hajjah, Sa'adah, and the Amran Cement Factory. These airstrikes resulted in 43 martyrs and over 90 injured, causing widespread destruction of homes, panic, displacement, and worsening the already dire living conditions of the Yemeni people.

Key Details of the Crimes on This Day:

2015: 75 Martyrs and Injured in a Genocidal Attack on the Descendants of Bilal in Sana'a

On July 12, 2015, US-Saudi airstrikes targeted the homes of the Descendants of Bilal in the residential area of Sawaan, Shoub District, Sana'a. The airstrikes resulted in 25 martyrs and 50 injured, widespread destruction of homes, and a wave of fear, panic, and displacement among the population. The attacks transformed Sawaan into a scene of horror with smoke, flames, and the cries of victims filling the air.

One of the victims, bloodied and distressed, said: "My house collapsed on me. I came out searching for my family, but I found them all in pieces. We have no weapons, no relation to any conflict. Why are we being targeted?"

Another survivor, with tears in his eyes, pointed to the bodies of his children and said: "Is this the work of those who call themselves the guardians of the holy sites? These are the actions of the so-called legitimate government and their American and Israeli backers."

The aggression’s airstrikes on these residential areas, targeting non-combatants, are considered war crimes and have caused immense suffering and outrage among the Yemeni people, further deepening their resolve to resist the aggression and hold the perpetrators accountable.

30 Homes Destroyed with Residents Inside

Thirty modest homes of marginalized residents were destroyed by airstrikes, killing the inhabitants and spilling their blood under their humble roofs and walls. This left dozens of cleaning worker families homeless, many of whom lost their breadwinners or most family members. The aggression forced these families into displacement and sorrow, stripping them of their stability.

Nearby, the American embassy and associated buildings remained untouched by any airstrike. In contrast, these marginalized residents lost their modest homes and all their dreams.

2015: Over 30 Injured in Attack on National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism and Residential Neighborhoods in Sana'a

On this day in 2015, US-Saudi airstrikes targeted residential areas in Al-Khamseen and Al-Sawad, and the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism in Sana'a. These attacks resulted in over 30 injuries among children and women, widespread panic, displacement to nearby neighborhoods, destruction of several homes, and partial damage to the Institute.

2015: 10 Casualties in Airstrikes on Citizens' Homes in Sa'adah

US-Saudi airstrikes on July 12, 2015, targeted homes in Shaban, Razih District, and Al-Ammar, Al-Safra District, Sa'adah Governorate. The strikes killed eight and injured two, causing panic, displacement, and significant property damage. Sheikh Saleh Daghsan's home and a mosque were destroyed, along with livestock.

2015: Injuries and Infrastructure Destruction in Cement Factory Attack in Amran

Simultaneously, airstrikes hit the Amran Cement Factory, injuring several and damaging the factory and nearby homes. The attacks disrupted operations and caused economic hardship for 1,800 workers.

These attacks are part of a pattern of war crimes against Yemeni civilians, continuing for nine years with devastating effects on infrastructure and livelihoods.

2018 and 2019: Casualties from Coalition Shelling and Cluster Bomb Explosions in Sa'adah

On July 12, 2018, US-Saudi mercenaries targeted Wadi Raja in the Barqan area of Razih District, Sa'adah Governorate, with artillery shells. At the same time in 2019, cluster bombs exploded in the Akwan area of Al-Safra District, Sa'adah.

These attacks wounded citizens such as Mu'tar Salem Jiradi and caused serious injuries to Mursheed Ali Bahsh. Panic and displacement ensued among residents, fearing further attacks.

2020: Massacre Targeting a Family in Hajjah

On July 12, 2020, US-Saudi mercenaries bombed the home of Naif Majli in Al-Jashm village, Washhah District, Hajjah Governorate. The airstrike killed 10, including women and children, and injured two, completely destroying the home and nearby properties.

The aftermath led to widespread fear, displacement, and tragic scenes of body parts scattered amid the destruction, reflecting the brutality of the Saudi-American coalition's crimes against Yemeni civilians.

These incidents are part of ongoing atrocities over nine years, highlighting the humanitarian crisis and disregard for international laws and human rights.
