News - Yemen: Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, has emphasized the importance of responsibility and awareness towards Yemen among all staff of organizations, particularly local ones. He urged them not to succumb to temptations that could jeopardize Yemen's security and safety.

In a meeting with representatives, officials, and staff of the United Nations, international, and local organizations in the governorates of Hodeidah, Hajjah, and Raymah, Al-Hamli warned against political and destructive activities carried out under the guise of humanitarian work. He highlighted the risk of organizations implementing external agendas through their projects or employees.

Al-Hamli pointed out that all organizations undergo periodic evaluation by the Supreme Council, both positively and negatively. He indicated that any organization with a negative performance that fails to provide services to Yemeni citizens beyond covering its operational expenses would be excluded. He emphasized the leadership and Council's commitment to stable humanitarian work while considering the security, stability, values, culture, and identity of the Yemeni people.

He affirmed the Council's rejection of any destructive activities that undermine the identity and culture of the Yemeni people, as well as the country's security and sovereignty.

In early June, Yemeni Security Forces dismantled a significant espionage network working for the United States and Israel, involved in espionage and sabotage activities across various state institutions for decades.

According to a statement from the Security Forces, the network was directly linked to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and obtained susceptible information about various aspects of life in Yemen, including military, security, economic, agricultural, health, and educational fields. 

The United States and Israel have used humanitarian aid as a cover for espionage activities in Yemen, targeting Yemen's economies, agriculture, education, health, and all areas.
