News - Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Sunday morning a significant military operation targeting key sites in Umm Al-Rashrash, southern occupied Palestine, with ballistic missiles. They also targeted a US ship in the Red Sea, stating that a response to Israeli aggression against Yemen is inevitable.

"The Rocketry Force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a major operation targeting key objectives in Umm Al-Rashrash, south of occupied Palestine, with several ballistic missiles. The operation successfully achieved its objectives, thanks to Allah," Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said in a televised statement.

Additionally, the Naval Forces, Air Force, and Rocketry Force of the Yemeni Armed Forces conducted a joint operation targeting the US ship Pompa in the Red Sea with ballistic missiles and drones. The operation directly hit the ship, he added.

The statement emphasized that these actions are in defense of the Palestinian people and in response to American, British, and Israeli aggression against Yemen.

The Yemeni Armed Forces asserted their right to defend Yemen against American, British, and Israeli aggression, stating that such actions will not deter Yemen from its firm stance in supporting the Palestinian people.

They reiterated that their maritime operations against Israeli, American, and British ships, or those heading to ports in occupied Palestine, will continue until the aggression stops and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.

The Yemeni Armed Forces concluded by affirming that a significant response to Israeli aggression against Yemen is forthcoming.

On Saturday, Israeli warplanes targeted civilian buildings, oil facilities, and a power station in the Yemeni province of Hodeidah, killing three citizens and injuring 87 others.

Brushing off official accounts that the airstrikes had targeted civilian structures, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari alleged that the regime’s aircraft had struck “military targets” in Hodeidah.

He also said the strikes had come in response to the attacks that the Yemeni Armed Forces had been carrying out against the occupied Palestinian territories over the past months.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have been targeting the territories as well as Israeli ships and vessels affiliated with the occupying regime since October 7, when Tel Aviv began a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip. They have vowed to keep up their operations as long as the regime sustains the war and a simultaneous siege that it has been enforcing against the Palestinian territory.
