Yemeni Escalation Heightens Israeli Anxiety: Fears Grow Over Potential Attacks and New Phase in Conflict

Middle East: The media of the Zionist enemy continues to emphasize the growing concern within the occupation entity regarding the anticipated Yemeni response to the attack on Hodeidah, in addition to announcing the fifth stage of escalation.

New reports confirm significant fears within the enemy of potential attacks on sensitive facilities and centers from Yemen, with concerns about the expansion of coordination between Yemen and supporting fronts in the upcoming phase.

The Hebrew channel Kan expressed fears that the "Houthis" intend to attack Israeli energy reserves, including the Leviathan and Tamar gas fields, and the Orot Rabin, Rotenberg, Eshkol, and Haifa power stations.

The Channel 12 reported on its official website that the "defense institution does not underestimate the Yemeni response to the attack on Hodeidah and is preparing more cautiously for a possible counter-response from Sana''a, potentially in collaboration with other members in the resistance axis."

The report revealed that the "Defense Institution has ordered the widespread deployment of all detection systems to improve Israeli interception capabilities, following the drone's infiltration into Tel Aviv."

The report further explained that "Israel has realized the necessity of paying attention to new penetration routes, including from the west, and thus defensive capabilities need to be improved." It noted that "most radars are directed towards these (western) sites," which means that the arrival of the Yemeni drone "Yafa" from the Mediterranean Sea has made the enemy feel exposed.

It pointed out that there are indications of increased coordination among resistance axis parties to disrupt shipping routes in the Mediterranean, specifically towards Haifa.

These indicators are directly related to the recent speech by Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, who repeatedly stated that he is heading towards escalation and announced a new phase in the war, which is the fifth stage of supporting Hamas in Gaza.

The leader had repeatedly mentioned in his last speech the coordination with the resistance axis regarding current and upcoming developments.

Israeli researcher on Arab affairs, Yoni Ben Menachem, commenting on the Yemen issue, stated, "There is a tendency to downplay the matter, but the truth is we are dealing with an extremely dangerous enemy, equipped with the latest weapons, and has a bank of targets, and is well-prepared to attack Israel."

"According to media reports, army personnel say that Israel has not gathered sufficient information about Yemen, and thus it appears they have used American and British intelligence information for the attack," he added. "The Houthis are not satisfied with just closing the Red Sea; they also want to close the Mediterranean Sea."

He considered that Yemenis realized from the night of the Iranian attack on the Zionist entity that "it would be difficult for Israel to handle a similar situation in terms of its air defense and interception capability, and thus they will try to repeat the process."

In a related context, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is afraid of the Yemenis and that if he could, he would have avoided responding this time as he has always done.

In an article by economic analyst Nehemia Shtrasler titled "Bibi is also Afraid of the Houthis," the newspaper recalled the moment when the Yemeni Armed Forces entered the Al-Aqsa Storm battle for the first time on October 19, 2023, by launching four "Cruise" missiles and several drones at "Eilat" (Um al-Rashrash).

The newspaper viewed that the warship sent by US President Joe Biden to the Red Sea did not cause real damage to the Yemenis, so the world immediately understood that "Israel" was weak and vulnerable.

According to Shtrasler, Netanyahu's fear and reluctance to respond with disproportionate force, leaving the matter to the Americans and British to protect "Israel," has turned "Israel" into the "beaten boy in the Middle East," surrounded by a ring of fire.
