News - Yemen: The head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, affirmed Yemen's clear and explicit stance against any Israeli aggression on Palestine and Lebanon. He added that Yemen will stand with Lebanon to defend itself against any Israeli aggression.

 

He arrived in Tehran on Monday evening to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Bazeshkian.

His remarks came as tensions have been running high between Israel and the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah following a rocket attack that killed 12 people and injured 40 others in the town of the Majdal Shams in the Israeli-occupied Syrian territory of Golan Heights on Saturday.

While Israel blamed Hezbollah for the attack, the Lebanese resistance movement categorically denied all false allegations in this regard.

Since the incident, there have been continued exchanges of fire across the border between Lebanon and the occupied territories, but they have seemed to fall within the bounds of the routine tit-for-tat of the past ten months.

Fears linger in the region that Israel might use the Saturday strike as a pretext to launch a full-scale offensive on Lebanon.

The Yemeni forces have carried out scores of operations in support of the war-hit Gazans since the onset of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza early last October, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in the occupied territories.

The regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed 39,363 Palestinians, mostly women and children, leaving 90,923 others injured.
