News - Yemen: The Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi extended condolences for the martyrdom of the Islamic Ummah’s martyr Ismail Haniyeh and the Mujahid leader Fouad Shukr, promising revenge against the Israeli entity.

In a statement, Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that, with Allah's will and in cooperation with our brothers in the axis of jihad and resistance, they will spare no effort in avenging the martyr and all the martyrs, as well as addressing the injustices faced by the Palestinian people.

He emphasized that the criminal enemy’s involvement in targeting the martyr escalates the conflict to a broader and more significant level, with severe consequences for the enemy, Allah willing.

He confirmed that the crime of targeting the great Mujahid Ismail Haniyeh will serve as a greater incentive for resilience, steadfastness, devotion in the cause of Allah, and inflicting severe punishment on the criminal enemy.

The Leader explained that the Palestinian people are being subjected to genocide perpetrated by the Israeli enemy with American involvement over the past ten months.

Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi emphasized that the Islamic movement has raised the banner of jihad and stood actively and steadfastly at the forefront of the oppressed Palestinian people until it achieved significant accomplishments.

On Wednesday morning, Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed when their residence in the Iranian capital was hit in an attack.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said the attack is under investigation and the results will be announced later in the day.

Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Following the assassination, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei warned the Israeli regime of a "harsh response", saying it is the Islamic Republic's duty to avenge the blood of the Palestinian resistance leader.

“The criminal and terrorist Zionist regime martyred our dear guest in our homeland and left us bereaved, but it also set the ground for a harsh punishment for itself,” the Leader said.
