Ministry of Human Rights Calling for Accountability, Prosecution of Countries Supporting Israel's Crimes

News - Yemen: Yemen's Ministry of Human Rights has called for the accountability and prosecution of countries complicit with and allied to the Zionist entity in committing crimes, including the United States and all nations proven to have provided any form of support or assistance related to these crimes.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry condemned the ongoing genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist entity against civilians in the Gaza Strip, the most recent being the brutal massacre that resulted in over 100 deaths and dozens of injuries following the targeting of the Tab'ieen school, which shelters displaced persons in the Daraj neighborhood in the center of Gaza City.

The ministry viewed this massacre as a significant escalation in the context of the brutal atrocities committed by the occupation forces against Palestinian families in displacement schools, which have resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries. This has raised the toll of Zionist aggression to nearly 40,000 deaths and 100,000 injuries.

The ministry also condemned the continued international and global silence regarding the entity's persistent actions, which include exterminating civilian populations through killings, committing mass massacres, starving people, preventing humanitarian aid, forcibly displacing individuals, and destroying property and civilian assets.

The ministry held the US directly responsible for these crimes due to its full and comprehensive support for the Zionist entity, considering that Israel's actions aim to destroy the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry also demanded that all countries initiate criminal investigations and trials before their national courts, based on universal jurisdiction, and fulfill their international legal obligations to ensure accountability, prosecute perpetrators of international crimes, prevent impunity, and arrest and prosecute them in accordance with relevant international and national laws.

More than 120 Palestinians have been killed following Israeli airstrikes on a school sheltering displaced people in the east of the Gaza Strip, as the occupying regime presses ahead with its months-long aggression on the besieged territory.

The media office stressed that the Israeli attack comes within the “framework of the crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing against our Palestinian people in a clear manner.”

Backed by the US and its Western allies, the Israeli regime launched an all-out invasion of Gaza after it was caught off-guard by Operation al-Aqsa Storm inside the occupied territories in October last year.

Nearly 40,000 Palestinians have since been killed, most of them women and children, and upwards of 91,000 others injured in the merciless Israeli aggression.

Israel has also been enforcing a crippling siege on the coastal territory by choking off the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory.
