News - Yemen: A responsible source at the Yemeni Foreign Ministry expressed appreciation for Cuba's stance, which calls for an end to the genocide committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza and supports the establishment of a Palestinian state.

In a statement, the source emphasized that Cuba's principled position on the just Palestinian cause, as well as its opposition to US and allied aggression against Yemen, and its repeated warnings about the consequences of continued aggressive bombing operations—leading to an escalation of conflict in the Middle East—reflect the continuation of the revolutionary path established by the Cuban Revolution, led by the great revolutionaries Che Guevara and former President Fidel Castro.

The source stated, "The current leadership in Cuba is an extension of this approach, rejecting the dominance and arrogance of imperialist states in their new form."

The source also highlighted the ongoing brutality of the Zionist enemy in its campaign of genocide against civilians in Gaza, its systematic policy of storming Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the desecration of Islamic and Christian holy sites, which Yemen condemns and considers a challenge and provocation to the sentiments of the Islamic nation.

Backed by the US and its Western allies, the Israeli regime launched an all-out invasion of Gaza after it was caught off-guard by Operation al-Aqsa Storm inside the occupied territories in October last year.

Nearly 40,000 Palestinians have since been killed, most of them women and children, and upwards of 91,000 others injured in the merciless Israeli aggression.

Israel has also been enforcing a crippling siege on the coastal territory by choking off the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory.

Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against Zionist occupation since the regime launched its devastating war on Gaza.

The United States and the United Kingdom have launched airstrikes on Yemen in clear violation of Yemeni sovereignty, as an attempt to deter Yemen from its decision to prevent Israeli ships from passing through the Red Sea in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
