War Crimes, Humanitarian Catastrophe: A Chronicle of US-Saudi Aggression on Yemen (September 6)

Yemen: On this day, September 6, during the years 2015, 2017, and 2018, the US-Saudi aggression continued its brutal targeting of several residential areas and civilian facilities in various provinces, leaving behind war crimes and acts of genocide against humanity in Yemen.

These actions represent blatant violations of international laws and treaties, further exacerbating the suffering of civilians, worsening living conditions, spreading famine, and causing scenes of mass killings through direct airstrikes, siege, starvation, and the denial of basic services.

The aggression's airstrikes resulted in 9 martyrs and 16 wounded, including children and women, along with waves of displacement, homelessness, and oppression.

On September 6, 2015, US-Saudi airstrikes targeted the surroundings of the Al-Sabeen Maternity and Children's Hospital, a life-saving facility housing thousands of mothers and their children in the capital, Sana’a. The series of brutal airstrikes resulted in two martyrs and nine others injured, terrifying patients and medical and administrative staff, and attempting to disrupt the health services provided to thousands of citizens in a tragic scene that adds to the ongoing crimes against Yemen.

On the same day, September 6, 2015, US-Saudi airstrikes deliberately targeted a food storage facility in the Al-Jar area of Abs district, Hajjah province. This occurred amid the imposed siege and severe food crisis affecting civilians.

On September 6, 2015, airstrikes also targeted the home of Sheikh Abdul Wali Al-Omari in the Al-Bukhari area of Ibb province’s Ba'dan district, resulting in its destruction, damaging nearby homes and properties, and causing displacement and homelessness. This attack was an attempt to pressure social figures and influential individuals, further worsening the suffering of civilians and instilling fear among the population.

On September 6, 2017, the aggression committed a war crime and a brutal massacre by targeting the home of citizen Hussein Al-Hamli in the village of Al-Sada in the Hayran district of Hajjah province. This attack resulted in the deaths of six people, including the mother and her children, and five others were injured. The strike caused damage to the homes and properties of citizens, leading to displacement, homelessness, grief, and despair, in a horrific crime that shocks humanity in Yemen.

On this day, September 6, 2018, US-Saudi aggression targeted a fuel station owned by citizen Hassan Dookal on the main road in the Bani Al-Khamaj area of the Hayran district. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of one citizen and the injury of another, turning the station into a mass of fire and rising flames.

On the same day, September 6, 2018, US-Saudi airstrikes targeted a citizen’s farm in the Al-Suwaiq area of Al-Tuhaita district in Hodeidah province. The attack resulted in one injury and widespread fear among residents, as well as significant losses to the farm and its contents. The attack exacerbated the suffering of farmers, forcing them into displacement and homelessness.

This crime is one of thousands of ongoing war crimes committed against the Yemeni people over nine consecutive years. It calls upon the world, the international community, the United Nations, and relevant entities to pressure for an end to the aggression against Yemen and hold the war criminals accountable by bringing them to justice.
