News - Middle East: Israeli media continues to highlight growing concerns over the development of Yemeni military capabilities and the Yemeni leadership's determination to escalate further. 

On Tuesday, The Jerusalem Post published a report stating that "regarding the [Yemeni] direct threat to Israel, there seems to be little reason for optimism." The report pointed to statements made by Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, leader of the Yemeni revolution, about "preparing for the fifth phase, which includes unexpected initiatives and an expanded target bank."

The newspaper stressed that "the statements of senior leaders, saying that retaliation against Israel is certain, should be taken seriously."

It added, "We should not conclude that the “Houthis” have backed down after the strike on Hodeidah port. Based on their strong determination to harm Israel and the renewed attacks in the Red Sea, it seems likely that they are regrouping."

The newspaper also predicted that Yemeni Armed Forces "will grow stronger over the years, both in terms of the quantity and quality of weapons they possess, potentially bringing the threat closer to Israel."

It urged the Zionist entity to "be prepared" regarding the Yemeni front and advised that "Israel should work with policymakers in the United States, Europe, and international forums on the threat posed by the Yemenis, including ambitions to develop advanced weapons that could directly threaten the U.S. and Europe."

Earlier this week, Globes, another Hebrew newspaper, expressed fears that the ongoing war would increase the chances of significant Yemeni achievements in air defense, particularly against manned fighter jets. This comes after Yemeni forces successfully downed nine American MQ-9 drones.

The website for Channel 12 in Israel described the downing of American drones as a "devastating blow to the capabilities of the U.S. military."

Despite the continuous American, British, and Zionist aggression on Yemen since the end of last year, it has failed to prevent Yemen from engaging in the promised conquest and sacred jihad. The Yemeni Armed Forces continue to strike the Zionist enemy and block the enemy's maritime navigation.
