Starlink’s Entry into Yemen: Hidden Agendas and National Security Concerns

Yemen: The American company "Starlink" has announced the introduction of satellite internet to Yemen, making it the first country in the Middle East to be reached by the company owned by Elon Musk, a close friend of Donald Trump, with strong connections to global Zionist circles.

Starlink only operates in 40 countries worldwide and recently announced its entry into Yemen as the sole Middle Eastern country, bypassing several wealthy nations in the region that are eager to acquire the latest in technology. This has raised questions: why Yemen, and why now?

First, what is "Starlink" and how does it work?

According to public information, the "Starlink" system is a network of thousands of satellites manufactured by SpaceX, a company owned by Musk, aimed at providing satellite internet service.

The Starlink system consists of thousands of satellites placed in low Earth orbit, interconnected to create a mesh network capable of providing high-speed internet access.

The service works by connecting users to the satellites via a dish that connects to the user's router and modem, which in turn are linked to the internet.

Reuters: "SpaceX" is Directly Linked to the CIA

On March 17, 2024, five informed sources revealed to Reuters that SpaceX is building a network of hundreds of spy satellites under a secret contract with the CIA. This confirms the close ties between Musk's company and the agency.

The sources added that SpaceX's "Starshield" unit is responsible for building the satellite network under a $1.8 billion contract signed in 2021 with the National Reconnaissance Office, a U.S. intelligence agency that manages spy satellites.

The plans highlight the extent of SpaceX's involvement in U.S. intelligence and military projects, as well as the significant investment the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) is making in low Earth orbit satellite systems aimed at supporting ground forces.

The sources mentioned that if the program succeeds, it would greatly enhance the U.S. government's and military's ability to quickly track potential targets almost anywhere in the world.

Reuters reports, for the first time, that SpaceX's contract aims to build a powerful new espionage system comprising hundreds of satellites capable of imaging Earth and functioning as a group in low orbit. The intelligence agency cooperating with Musk's company is the National Reconnaissance Office.

The sources explained that the satellites can track targets on Earth and share that data with U.S. intelligence and military officials.

Tech-focused websites confirm that the internet services provided by the company are directly overseen by the U.S. without any governmental restrictions or oversight, with no obstacles to monitoring every move or word spoken by individuals.

Observers recall that during the Russia-Ukraine war, "Starlink" intervened by providing service to Ukraine, which benefited from it logistically during the war.

As for Yemen, given that the security and military front is strong and the enemies have been unable to breach it—and since the country lacks devices like pagers and wireless systems found in Lebanon—Yemen has become the most critical front for the enemies, especially after the recent hypersonic missile that penetrated all their defense systems and reached occupied Jaffa.

Yemen has become the biggest concern for the Americans, which is why they rushed to set up the Starlink system and launch the service in Yemen. On the ground, they are blind after the collapse of their espionage networks, according to observers.

Additionally, some question the hidden messages behind the U.S. embassy’s endorsement of Starlink's entry into Yemen. They add, "Elon Musk is considered a close friend of Netanyahu. How do we interpret his presence at Netanyahu’s meeting with U.S. Congress members and the latter’s visit to Musk’s company production lines?"

In the first official reactions, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced that providing internet services by a foreign company in any area of Yemen poses a direct threat to national security and undermines the ability to protect citizens’ privacy and data. It expressed its rejection of the authorities in the areas under American-Saudi-Emirati occupation allowing Starlink to offer satellite internet services in the occupied areas.

In conclusion, Yemen has faced a military invasion and economic blockade led by the U.S. and Saudi Arabia for over nine years, which failed to achieve its goals. With Yemen entering the battle to support Gaza after the Zionist aggression over the past year, the American-British-Israeli coalition has also failed to defeat Yemen militarily, pushing them to explore soft power alternatives. It seems that an electronic war is looming, and Yemen must prepare well for it, learning from what happened in Lebanon and Ukraine.
